Banners at the Doyt

Post by nwofalconfan »

While driving by on 75 today, I noticed that the banner facing the highway was up. I assume they are all in place, or will be soon.

I noticed it as well. I thought the banners would be bigger and easier to see from 75... It looks like the final touches to the stadium have finally been put in place. How about a chance to get the old logo items... ;-)

The only money that needs spent at Anderson is on a bulldozer rental.

The Doyt is a perfectly fine facility and needed some cosmetic touches & enhancements. Anderson is not really salvageable. It needs bathrooms added upstairs, needs to add handicap accessibility, needs a redone roof. All new bleachers would be nice as well. It also needs to be picked up and moved out of the center of campus to somewhere with nearby parking.

I love watching basketball games at Anderson Arena. The intimate environment is just awesome for watching the game. I love how loud the place gets, and I also love all the great memories that I've had watching basketball games there. Still, I think it's sad to say, but the truth, that Anderson Arena is beyond simple repair jobs...a new arena is the only feasible solution.

The announcement on the fate of Anderson Arena and the Ice Arena will be coming very soon.
