I think I've been living under a rock in regards to the falcon club pavilion, because I rarely read their e-mails. Well, I just read the one that came in today and it came with this:

12oz. Coors Lt. - $2.00
12oz. Labatts Lt. - $2.50
Bottled Water - $2.50
Bottled Soda - $3.00
Bottled Powerade - $3.00
Hot Chocolate or Coffee - $1.50
Now I know that I saw mention of having to pay for the beers this year in the Falcon Club Pavilion, but I guess I just shrugged it off. Now that I see the price list it's pretty disconcerting. There is no way I'm paying money for Coors or Labatts. If they're going to start charging for beer the least they could do is start having something GOOD available...at least they have Guinness at the Hockey games...

$2 for a beer isn't that bad when ya think about it. I have 18 chillin in the cooler right now so I'm set. LOL!
I know ya drink that swill Freak, but it's not for me. I like some color & some flavor in my beer, thanks.
I have no problem paying $2 for a beer, you're right it's not outrageous. I guess I had just forgotten that we were going to have to pay this year, and then on top of that they still don't have a decent selection.
Like I said, The Ice Arena has guinness at least...not the greatest, but it's SOMETHING.

FWIW, Guinness is a very light beer (probably one of the reasons why it's not one of my faves, but is drinkable).
A bottle of Guinness Draft is 126 calories. Coors Light is 102. Bud Light is 110. Miller Light is 96.
Most of my favorites are probably in the 250-300 calorie range; although they wisely don't generally publish their caloric content
Serving Labatt's is actually kinda of cool, because it offers a hint of a sense of place.
The concessions will have arrived when they have a menu item that screams: "You are in Bowling Green and not some other college stadium."
Hard to do. If they had Grounds For Thought coffee, it would be a start.
Even better: What if a home ec class got together and concocted a dynamite sandwich that included a Pork-A-Lean?
Anyway.
Labatt's isn't bad though. Further south you go, the harder it is to find. At least consumers will be reassured they aren't in Texas or some other such place.
If I were to pick a beer for the menu, I'd pick Sam Adams. As everyone knows, it's America's best beer. And we are talking American football.
Also, while this is Ohio, not Massachusetts, at least we have a football tradition in Ohio.
