Recruiting at the game today...

Post by Flipper »

Coach Orr had a number of kids sitting on the east side in the first few rows...AD made his way through and shook some hands.

Orr and Stone were spending a lot of time talking to a tall kid in a red baseball hat and the kid's (I presume ) mom.....any ideas as to who that might have been?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

At the "pre-SEBO" ceremony, we were told that over 100 recruits from all sports (mostly FB obviously) were on campus and were being shown thru the SEBO...we were reminded via green wristbands NOT to talk to these players, other than perhaps a "welcome to BG" comment...NCAA violation if we DID try to talk to some.

What, does the NCAA assume jurisdiction over the entire world? That gives me the creeps.

I agree 100%. The arrogance of that organization never ceases to amaze.

That being said, such a rule is likely in place because folks at some places will throw in a gold watch or two with the cheesy bread.

Actually, Christopher somewhat joked about it...said there shouldn't be any $50 "handshakes" etc. THAT'S the big reason for these rules.
