its sad the think that whitmore is the only one left of that freshmen class of foster, matsumoto, nesdill, and mazzei, man there was such high hopes when these guys were freshmen.

I'm confused by this. Are you saying it's sad that he's the only one being touted on the net, or are you saying the others (aside from foster and moto) walked? I've seen both Nesdill and Mazzei around campus more than a couple times since the start of classes. Did I miss something?

The article is basically saying that Whitmore is the only forward on the team who is a proven scorer so that's why we are picked to finish in last place for the third year in a row. Nobody has quit the team since Eunice -- yet.

thats exactly what im saying. Whitmore is the only one left that established himself as a good college player out of the people that are still left. Foster was good and Matsu was good, and I would put Whitmore just below them as far as talent goes.

good stuff and an awful lot of things left out. Its reads like an well spun news paper providing only the facts they need to pove a a crafted point.
like the goal tending tandem Mitch O'Keefe suffered a torn groin 3 weeks ago and Derek MacIntyre had his trapper side shoulder separated. dont thnnk either of those two will be to stellar in net for while. Duponts blocker side got worse this summer, no mention of Eno or Sprats much improved play and consistency Sprat will likely be 2.3 GA goalie this year. To much to list.

much like the early MAC evaluation there will be alot of shake up Esp in the bottom half of that list, since so much was over looked. Its going to be a fun season

though i think miami can, and maybe should, win the league this year, i would rather see them pick someone else. maybe like the defending national champions though i don't think anyone thought they were the best team in america last year. they finished fourth in the regular season! jeff jackson sure does have notre dame on the right path, however. his recruiting class this year is apparently outstanding!

Thats the beauty of having a REAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, Playoffs and bringing your A game.
i like Miamis chances, this year youve been consistently strong. but as you point out finishing tops in the league is great, yet it doesn't get you anything els, esp when the top teams from each conference are all in the same boat. Its several seasons. first doing well in the conference to win it, and or just get good home ice for the playoffs. then its about the championship brackets and playing to make the frozen four. Then its about winning the frozen four. Ah its a great series of events, that dont seem to start soon enough.

don't get me wrong, i agree 100% about the idea of the tournament. there was a ton of crying from hockey east fans and wcha fans on uscho's fan forum. but, as a ccha fan, and a fan of the idea of a playoff, msu's the champ fair and square in my book.

That article was halarious, the best part wasn't the section on BG but on Alaska. "What might Alaska have going for them, their not BG." maybe macman after the 3rd straight year of being dead last you and your followers will wake up and realize that big changes need to be made.
The section on BG should have read "BG is scouted to repeat as the basement dwellers again, its not all the players fault though, I mean Paluch is the coach, their doomed."

lol.....is it this time again.
big changes have happened. Last year we all know why we ended where we did. this year is going to be what lastyear could have been had they not been struck down with illness and injury.
We have a good team. they will play and finish as such.

I see the CCHA as a 3 team conference this season. Miami, Notre Dame, and Michigan State. Miami should take it handedly with its loaded goaltending. What about Michagan! Having Cogliano and Johnson for two years garners 0 championships.
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

MACMAN, lets make a deal since last year I said BG would finish last and they did while you spoiuted off about how they would top 4 in the division.

The deal... If BG finishes higher than 9th I won't come back on this site and then you can say whatever you like without my contradiction. But.. if they don't finish 9th or higher then you my poor dillusional friend will be band from writing on this site.

DEAL or NO DEAL
(There will be no excuses this year as for illness and junk that clearly happens to every team, why should BG be special and allowed to lose becuase they are sick)

No deal.

1) Only violations of the user agreement will get one banned. Although MACMAN has skirted, he hasn't violated.

2) bigdog, you have added some and - should you choose to - you could add a great deal more hockey knowledge to this site. Lord knows I've tried to get more out of you!

Make a bet some other way if you please, but keep this site out of it.

Thank you and kind regards,
Rightupinthere, Middle Management.
