Okay, I feel it is my duty to warn these visitors. Don't go to Myles unless you like burnt cheese on your pizza. I personally find their food disgusting, and I'm still convinced that their trademark burn originally started as either an accident or a practical joke on a customer that they decided to run with and make stick.
If I wanted to find good places to eat in town, I would probably go for either Chipotle or Qdoba, but if we're talking local eateries, no pizza beats Pisanello's. El Zarape is excellent, but for some reason I don't find the word grease in mexican, but that's what half of their food is. I still enjoy the place, but at times that place gives me a stomach ache.
Honestly, I love Jimmy Johns, and even though it's not considered local, it still has some excellent sandwiches.
DiBenedetto's, however, I think is better than Jimmy Johns. Their food makes me wish I could eat more. Pita Pit is okay (down by the train tracks) but unless you like that sort of thing it's nothing to hoot and holler about.
As for downtown, Jed's tops Junction simply because of the balls they serve. I also love their cheeseburger salad. BW3's comes in at third, but it's the most familiar for most people so it usually ranks higher among visitors. But, for good, down to earth burgers, check out the corner grill next to Uptown/Downtown.

I'll throw in my 2 pennies here.
Frickers = bad. One of the last times I made that mistake a friend of mine ended up with a chicken wing that still had a feather or two stuck to it. Gross.
DiBenedettos is awesome. It's just down the road from the stadium. Their meatball sub is great and so is pretty much everything else there. Cucina DiBetto, which I'm pretty sure is owned by the same (extended) family, is wonderful if you want some great italian food. Delicious meals and incredible cannoli! That's located on S. Main just around the corner off of Wooster St.
My favorite 'greasy spoon' will always be the Corner Grill. I don't care what anyone says. If you're in the mood for grilled cheese, you absolutely cannot beat that place. That's on N. Main St. a couple corners away from Wooster.
Munchies is a new hotdog/sandwich place that opened behind the Circle K where Andy's Hotdogs used to be (RIP!). I think that's N. Enterprise... correct?
Anyway, that's about all I have to offer.

Jed's loses to Junction because of its putrid drought selection. Molson is the best they have which isn't saying too much. Junction doesn't have a whole lot either, but at least they have some diversity of style. The wings there are big and meaty, but they are deep fried, I still like them though.

Junction is the place with the big patio on the second floor right? That place was the undisputed king of health code violations back in the 80's...I think they were barred from selling food for awhileor so because so many people became gastrically distressed.
First place I ever got a Killer Koolade though (Vodka, cranberry and amaretto...suprisingly, the amaretto doesn't entirely "gay up" the vodka)

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Andy's died? Suck. I was thrilled to have a high-quality Hot Dog joint open up. Judging by the lack of business that it had when I was going there (Summer and Fall '05), it doesn't shock me that it died, but I was hoping the quality would bring people in off of Wooster.Peregrinner wrote: Munchies is a new hotdog/sandwich place that opened behind the Circle K where Andy's Hotdogs used to be (RIP!). To each their own I guess, but there is a difference between "browned" and "burnt".footballguy51 wrote:Okay, I feel it is my duty to warn these visitors. They cook their pizzas longer than most because they put all the toppings on raw rather than precooked like most places. Personally, I LOVE the browned cheese on top.
I have no idea how anyone can not like their garlic cheese bread...it's one of the best foods on this, or any other, planet.
Like somebody else said, you either love Myle's or hate Myle's. I do agree that Pisanello's is a pretty good pizza though.
My family is the same. We always get together and hit Myle's whenever my brother comes back into town.1987alum wrote:Love x 4 (me, Mrs. 87, Catie & Noah ate there in August - unanimous thumbs up).hammb wrote:Like somebody else said, you either love Myle's or hate Myle's. We have actually frozen and shipped pizzas to him when he was in the military.

If you want a good drink from Junction, get the Blackout. I don't really know what goes in it (I was too drunk to form the question), but the name fits. *Warning* drink only one, or have people willing to be crutches.Flipper wrote:Junction is the place with the big patio on the second floor right? The Canyon is still there. I'm not sure they're doing well though. the last two times I've been there only one waitress was working and things seemed to not be working smoothly. I always get a reuben there and it used to always be awesome. I think our favorite waitress wuit, that may be why we don't like it as much as we used to.
