Kiper's new center rankings

Post by Jacobs4Heisman »

Centers
1. Steve Justice, Wake Forest
2. Kory Lichtensteiger, Bowling Green
3. Mike Pollak, Arizona St.
4. John Sullivan, Notre Dame
5. Tony Brinkhaus, Minnesota

Will Kory be the most highly drafted Falcon ever?

Wow...Kory is the best. I believe Bernie Casey was picked in the first round back in 60 or 61? I want to say the 9th pick overall?

Somehow I knew after I wrote that that I probably missed an old-timer that got picked high. :)

I heard Kiper over the summer on ESPN radio doing a MAC preview. He had
Kory in his top three in the country and best offensive lineman in the MAC. He also had him as a name to know in the future for playing on Sunday.

Kory, the Steelers need a center for the future. Max Starks might not be back next year. You can keep number 78. :)

His experience at other positions will help him more than anything.

Kory is a senior, any other guys with extrordinarily long last names to take over as our best lineman?

We would all like to think that Kory is a first round pick, but reality shows that centers are usually not high on a priority list. HOWEVER, he can play more than one O-line position, which is HUGE because of limited roster size for NFL teams.

Guards also dont go very high tho (I mean round 1 anyway), So he would have to show the ability or the footwork and athletic ability to potentially play LT or he will likely be a 3rd rounder.

As a 3rd rounder he will make more in his rookie year than I will make in my 30th year of my career.

I agree, 3rd round, but it has been seen that a great G could slip into the late 1st round or 2nd round.
