1) Corey Partridge. The guy has battled nagging injuries for so long but he keeps driving forward and coming up BiG. 9 receptions for 80 yards and a score to lead the WR corps...which becomes more deadly to opposing D units every week. I was worried when Zach Azzanni left to go back to CMU cuz he did a great job. But Coach Rothenbuhler and Coach Bird are doing a fine job with the unit. CP is a tough kid....hates to lose...love his leadership BY EXAMPLE.
2) PJ Mahone. PJ has had to wait his turn a bit and he came up BiG last night. 2 picks and added 2 tackles last night. It's good to see PJ make the most of his TP cuz the kid can play. I'm sure we'll be seeing him on the field more.
3) The Fans. Everyone that came out for a beautiful day and packed the Doyt and sidewalk for the team walk. Over 20,600 clad in orange and brown. I watched a few plays from the East stands and the West side looked awesome. For the first two home games of the year, we've drawn 37,104...an average of 18,552. We still have huge MAC East games with Ohio and Akron and of course the school up north. Keep this up and we will do very well attendance wise.
Anyone have other thoughts?

1) Gregg Brandon and Mick McCall: The 2nd half adjustment to come out with the no huddle was genius. The game was still 17-0 at that point and still in the balance, but the offense steamrolled down the field and put the game out of reach for good. Good on the coaches, it's great to see some good adjustments being made this year.
2) The OL: Outstanding job of giving Tyler and Anthony plenty of time to throw the ball. I believe WKU only had one legitimate sack in the game. Limiting lost yards is going to be a big key once MAC play starts up again in a couple weeks.
3) The Falcon Faithful: Both the students and alumni made this a special game. Getting over 20,000 for a non-conference game speaks volumes about the support the program has right now. Every week the talk on campus picks up and more and more students are getting involved. The rest of our home games are all against either top MAC teams or hated rivals (not to be mentioned
). We have a chance to make this a very enjoyable and successful football season.

The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Regarding our fans: I was amazed how many new jerseys I saw out tailgating and at the game. With 2 games down I think we're doing a good job showing all our new students and freshmen how cool BG sports can be. If we can just get them to hockey games I'll be a content man.

1. Gregg Brandon- Gotta give some love to the coach. He has completely turned this team around and has a chance to do something special this year. Turnovers are pretty much the most important stat besides the score and we went +5 tonight. Not sure which is more impressive forcing 5 turnovers or not turning it over even once? Both are huge steps in the right direction.
2. PJ Mahone- One of our more highly touted recruits. I have to say I haven't been impressed much by him other than the INT & return at Minny. But tonight he came up B!G.
3a. Erique Dozier- He always manages to just miss my list, so I'm going to let him make it this time. 12 tackles and an INT for probably the best player on our D.
3b. The fans- Over 20K for an OOC game? WOW that is huge and exactly what this team and program needs! I hope it got noisy on 3rd downs!
