I believe we can. I just wonder if BG has ever pulled off such a feat ... in football.

Karl,
I'm not positive of this...but the FIRST BG win over Purdue, when Purdue was picked to win the B-10, MIGHT have been such a situation. And that goes back to 1972!

The highest ranked team BG has ever beaten in football was NIU in 2003...they came in at #12 and BG was #23.

Den,
According to the media guide, Purdue came into that game ranked #16.

Well, with all the upsets over past two weeks, anything is possible.

BG 34
BC 31

I like what I'm hearing about BC's lack of a pass defense.

According to another thread on BC's message board, OJ was not really OJ and all that was written was not exactly what the writer believed. Many on their board believe we will put up points. However, they refer to our D as swiss cheese and all but one believe that BC will put up about 40 points. I think OJ is really Jerry York who wants his job back in BG because Boston really sucks!

Well, according to the Blade, Nick Davis will have an RMI done on his knee and Joe Schaefer probably won't be back until Miami, at the earliest, with that bad ankle. Other than that, I think we're pretty healthy going in.

BG can beat this team...seems our D has changed from a unit that didn't give up lots of yards but too many points in 06, to one that gives up too many yards but not many points...with Temple and WKU putting up 4 TD's in the closing minutes against the reserves.

I don't think BC is as good as #7 in the nation....but they are a Top 25 team. BG plays well in these games and I think will come out of Chestnut Hill with a win Saturday.

I hope Diyral Briggs has a few, big, sack burgers lined up for Mr. Ryan!

I really hope we can get to him before he finds the open receiver. I think that pressure up front could really be a deciding factor.

Good points, Freak.

It's tough to weed out the garbage time stats, so we'll probably have a much better idea of what sort of defense we have after this game.

i cant wait for this game!

i keep telling people we have a shot but last night i had an awful dream. we lost 70-9!!!

now i doubt that is gonna happen, so my real prediction is:

Little or no mistake, miracle game:

BG 31
BC 28

More realistic:

BC 35
BG 24

Irregardless [sic], we will have a solid feel for this team after this game.
