Of course they're going to think they're going to win. Best part of the thread was this.

I thought the same thing. He probably doesn't know where BG is and he must think we are 1-aa or whatever they call themselves since he compared us to UMASS.

Let them think what they want to. This past Saturday showed that anyone can lose at anytime. We know the ability of our team and know they can step it up in big games. Go ask Mizzou, Kansas, Northwestern, Purdue, and Minnesota.

This game reminds me a lot of the Oklahoma game from '04. We'll be able to put up some points, we just need to have good drives that run some clock and don't set ourselves up in 3rd and long situations. If Ball State can take Nebraska to the brink, we can do the very same.

BRING ON SATURDAY! GO FALCONS!

Arrogance leads to the dark side!

These guys are giving us less respect than Marshall deserves! I guess it's nice to know that we are going to be taken lightly!

Why should they give us pesky 'small time' schools any respect?

I don't make predictions. It ain't my bag. But, I must say, a lot of these BC fans are in for a very, very rude awakening.

We don't play defense? Michigan State "ran all over [us]?" Jeepers, Batman!

this one was my fave:
Both Army and UMass had a few things going for them. Both have decent defenses. Everyone knew that the Cadets would never roll over regardless of the score. Umass has played in some big game and was looking to be another App St . I know that we didn’t looked good in these two games. We should have rolled both of those teams, regardless. I see the BG game as the turning point. Why? BG doesn’t play defense. Minnesota , scored 31 – Mich St ran all over them. Temple scored 35, their QB went for 300 yds and 4 TDs. This is the same Temple team that was held to 3 points against Buffalo ! If Matty can’t match the Temple QB , the Heisman is out of the question. They couldn’t stop Western Kentucky on the ground. 1AA (not #2 in the country BTW). Offensively, we will have our way with them. Mich St. held them to 17 pts. Their QB can throw but, they can’t run. I say we will do as well as Mich. St. on Defense. The offence will roll both on the ground and in the air. 7 TDs sounds right. Sid Vicious will miss a PAT. We’ll take another knee at the end of the game to prevent half a hundred.

48 - 17
looks like someone only looked at the boxscore.

Looking at their board, it seems like we should take the 21.5 points and place some offshore wagers.

I think a lot of people looked at the scores of our games and say we don't play defense based on that. If only they knew that we've given up 28 points with our 2nd team defense with games out of reach the last two games, then they wouldn't make such assumptions. Oh well, you know what happens when people assume...

That said, in fairness, Massachusetts is one of the best I-AA teams in the land. They dropped from 2nd to 4th in the I-AA poll after losing to Boston College.

It's the Army comparison that irks me. That's true ignorance.
