My opinion is that this might just be the most overrated team in the history of the polls. They are only that high because of last weeks rash of upsets. Saturday will prove it.

I agree. And yet... isn't that Wisconsin and Kentucky I see startlingly high in these polls?

Meh.

All in all, they seem like a reasonable bunch. Hey, they are the #7 team in the nation, why shouldn't they expect a win by a healthy margin? Actually, I'd say the fact that a number of them see this as being a good game as a compliment.

Agreed - Most of the predictions are of the 34 - 24 variety. Seems reasonable to me.

I know it's always fun to beat up on the opposing fan base prior to the game...but I'd ask you not to judge us all based on what some tools might say on Scout.

I'm on Rivals a lot, which tends to be the more level-headed, but positive board.

BCMike2 seems like a good guy. Thanks for your insight.

I don't think BC is a Top 10 team but is a Top 25 team. We'll be on the road. I think the 20 pt spread is gernerous and would find the nearest bookie. That said, we need our A+ game on the road. We've done it many times before so its nothing new.

After the way the first third of the season has gone? You'd be a fool to predict a BC blowout....and to think BG didn't have a chance to win. This has been the craziest start to a season I can remember in a long time.

I like the attitude of our team...they're loose, confident and having fun. Dangerous combination for opponents. All the pressure is on BC...they have the lofty rating. BC is usually a pretty physical team so we need to be prepared. I think the Michigan State experience will help us quite a bit this week.

The last time BC covered a 20+ point spread = .....

umm.... never?

We never blow ANYONE out. Not a dig on BGSU, but we just simply don't blow teams out.

Further, when it gets late in the game and the game is decided, they won't try to score. They'l ljust run clock.

4 of the 5 games (ok, it might be 3, but I think it's 4) had BC kneeling down while in the opponent's redzone...FWIW.

I would bet HARD on BGSU and 20+ points.

----------

Edit: betting line keeps moving!

BTW Mike, I wasn't calling you a fool...I should have said "One would be a fool...". And thanks for pointing out what BC usually does when the game is in hand.

BTW, what's the capacity of your stadium? Just curious. Good talking with ya.

Didn't you crush Central Michigan 43-0 a couple years ago?

Central Michigan almost beat us last year! First game of the year, IIRC.

Good talking with you, too.

Alumni Stadium isn't very big at all. 45,500 I believe.

Thanks for the info. I remember that game last year in Mt Pleasant but I could have sworn you beat them 43-0 at home in recent years.

I'm sure we'll see a hard fought game...good luck.

I like the guy who says were worse than Army and Umass.... With that said a few guys seem to know what they're talking about.
and the bag of 8=D's that called us "ten pins U"...looks the the Golden Eagles are in for some serious effing disappointment...BG-2, Teams with "Golden" in their name-0
Well then it's a good thing for BC that their mascot is just the "Eagles" and not "Golden Eagles", or else they'd be in trouble on Saturday.

They talk like their run defense is the best that has ever existed. I am interested to see if they are really that good. Rarely are things as good or as bad as advertised. Too bad we probably will never find out since we pass so much.

By the numbers they do look pretty good. I just don't know what to think of them at 5-0 and #6. They really have not beaten anyone to warrant such a high ranking. There are plenty of teams that could be 5-0 against that schedule. Not long now and we shall find out how good they are I suppose.

Go Falcons.
