It's Baaaaack...
Wednesday night will be the first North American NHL games. Who's your team and what do you see your team doing this year?
I'm a huge Blue Jackets fan (stop laughing) and see our team finally getting over that .500 level but missing the playoffs.
Oh, and in case you forgot: Falcon Face-off is this Saturday from 4-6 with our annual exhibition game next Friday versus Windsor at 7:05pm.

7:30 Wednesday and Thursdayi will be glued to the tube watching the battle of Ontario and hopefully my Maple Leaf will pull off a sweep. As for the Blue Jackets finishing over 500 hahaha that is laughable. You can't win in hockey with no goalie no defence and having a top scorer (rick nash) that scored less points in his best year 57 than both the Maple Leafs top defenceman did last season in "down years"
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

I 've been a Leafs fan for as long as I have liked and watched hockey. But seeing Jonathan Bernier in the Kings Opener in London will find me tuning in to all the Kings games I can find to watch him. Man he was solid, did you all see that game?
I also will watch any game on over most other programing.
Hope The CBJ's are improved this year.

On my flight was the entire Monsters team heading to Denver I presume.VDub26Falcon wrote:I love the Wild and Leafs...luckily, Cleveland got a team back and on Sunday, October 14th I'll get the chance to watch Alex Foster and the Marlies play the Lake Erie Monsters...I'll have my Maple Leafs jersey and my Falcons hat on...anyone else gonna make the trip???
Pretty cool. Judging by their size, however, I'm not sure they're going to win a great many games. I am, however, hoping to take in a couple of games this year.

We should get a group together to go to a game this year. It'd be fun to make a night out of it.Rightupinthere wrote:I had to fly Southworst scAirlines from Cleveland to Chicago last Thursday. you ever realize how much bigger players look when they are 3-4 inches taller because of skates and with all their padding on? I bet you'll find that these guys are all pretty average size when it comes to hockey...As for Alex Foster, I know that the Marlies play 4 games in Cleveland and I will try to be at most of them. I live about a half hour west of Cleveland in Elyria and there's a room in my house that has plenty of space for sleeping bags...there isn't a ton to do here but I would definitely host a hockey night at my (parents) house if people are interested.

i watched the rangers game lastnight and i have to say, if the Rangers can keep the intensity up, which i will guess they can with that group, that they will be around in the final days this season.
Nice to see the cudos they gave to Brian as well and that they are retiring his Jersey #2 he is one heck of good person, and was a great player.

oh mann, poor cleveland. columbus is techincally the biggest city in Ohio but Cleveland and cincinnati stole all the good sports teams. It was about time columbus got a "big four" sports team. its actually pretty dissapointing that Ohioans arent rallying around this team. Theyve got a ton of young talent and on the verge of becoming great. its a very exciting timeVDub26Falcon wrote:And you all came up with the "BJ's"??? right around the Bill Clinton era??? I know I'm from Ohio but I can't get behind a team that caused Cleveland to get passed up for an NHL team...Go Wild, Go Leafs!!!
