Shegos was a non-factor in the game, which is usually the case in an intrasquad scrimmage. I was quite surprised to see him doing the game, actually! The white team won by one. Fastest skater was Russ Sinkewich. White also won the shootout which contributed to the white team's score. Seemed like lots of speed, but it's hard to tell when it's our guys against our guys!! Spoke with parents, players and coaches. I am feeling a lot of guarded optimism for the coming season!! [-o<

GO FALCONS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I had to go home for some family reasons this weekend so I didn't get a chance to catch the team. These events are always very interesting because it's your first look at the team, but we have to remember that the team was split down the middle and you're probably not going to see guys trying to lay someone out. I think that Windsor game is going to be much more telling about how this season will work itself out.

I have heard some mixed reviews from those close to the team, so we'll see how this works out.

No, but they had it set up to do so. Thought maybe they would, just to see if it is working like they want.

They were hitting each other pretty hard for a scrimmage. Two of them got into a shoving match after a whistle. It was quite entertaining.
