What he said!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Carmina Burana is not a opera. It's a cantata based upon the poems found in the medieval Carmina Burana text.
Thanks for posting this John. I was going to until I saw this. However, in addition, the other song mentioned is Bill Conti's "Gonna Fly Now," not "Rocky."

Well, for a description of Orff's piece, you've got the wrong link. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmina_Burana_%28Orff%29

I was only being sarcastic people. Sweet Caroline belongs to the football team so they can get pumped up for the fourth quarter.

How about xanadu by Olivia Newton John???

As for Sweet Caroline, NO to football, NO to basketball, NO to hockey. Maybe it would be appropriate for the class of '78 reunion, though.

The Niz & Falcon Fanatic have my vote Rocky why must a tradition be put on us by people who have not been part of the program ? It's not a tradition if someone tells you to do it Change is good but I feel like they threw everything out & are starting over. Falcon Fanatic & others tried to reintroduce chants and traditions the last three seasons. The arena would ring with that's ugly & terribly ugly on what we thought was a bad call by the ref, off sides would get" the puck must precede the player" bad passes or misshandled puck ---you want the puck, you can't handle the puck Can anyone think of more?-----ROCKY when the HOCKEY team takes the ice

When the opposing team's player comes out of the penalty box and it's announced "so-and-so back at full strength", we always shout "That's debatable!".

MACMAN, I would like to know your thoughts on a life band at the hockey games. Everything you have suggested seems to lean toward the canned crap spewing from our poor sound system. Are you in favor of a live band in the arena? Do you feel they should be the primary music outlet? Why or why not?
