What a mess
The first half is over and we are losing 30-7. We have been outplayed and outcoached. How can we score on some BCS teams and we can't score against a MAC team. The season is starting to look ugly. I believe
we lost next week against Kent. I am starting to get really pissed about
a once promising season.

Reminds me of the Temple game last year.BGSU33 wrote:This has got to be the worst quarter of football I have ever seen us play!!!

It seems like Miami is doing a good job jamming wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. I think a lot of our other opponents have taken the "keep it in front" approach, which allows us to complete the underneath stuff. Miami is taking that away by disrupting our timing.
A couple random 1st half thoughts:
1. I don't care if we fumbled on our first rush attempt. We need to run the ball. Tyler has been awful. Take a little weight off the kid's shoulders.
2. We have two really good WRs. One of whom (Partridge) seems to run a 3 yard out or 2 yard drag route on every play that I focus on him. Good use of our weapons.
3. The Whammy is in full effect. Not sure if anything can turn this around.

The coaches are just too stubborn; they think it always has to be there way. They didn't want to pass the ball with AT for some odd reason, and now they won't run the ball for a top 10 recruit. They should put AT or Glaud in the game because Sheehan can't do anything to keep Miami from just droping back. AT or Glaud could at least tuck and run if they drop back in pass D. And they both can throw those 5 yard passes Sheehan is throwing.
