Lady Byron and I were eating at Mesa Grill about 10 years ago when he had just started a new show on Food Network. He came into the restaurant and we asked the waiter to send him over.Trickster wrote:yea Bobby Flay is the man, hes probably my favorite Iron Chef. I usually end up rooting for the challenger though
He came to our table and talked a little while. Asked me if I had seen his new show. I said, "Yes, I just saw the episode with Nick Buonoconi (sp?)".
He started laughing and said, "You're probably the only one watching that knew who he is."
Very personable and accessible. Not sure how he is now that he's obviously more of a celeb.
