No Chance For BG To Defend Title

The MAC West title will now go to either NIU or Toledo. Thinking of how well we have played so far this season, it's very disappoiting to think we will not even have a shot at even defending our MAC West Title in the MAC Championship this year.

But it won't be as disappointing as a loss to Toledo.....so let's not let that happen!!!

Our bowl hopes are still alive!

Correction. No SECOND chance. Our chance came early in the season, and in college football, every game counts, and every game is a playoff game. And our chance to win the West passed because we played one bad game early in the year.

Believe me, I am well aware of what that loss to NIU did. Look back at the posts I made all the way back in the summer. I've been saying it all season long, our biggest game this year was vs. NIU. However, despite not getting to defend the MAC West title, we've now been given a shot at a bowl game. It all boils down to this, BG vs. UT. We win, we go bowling, we lose, we see a very promising season turn sour. We had that happen in 2001 and 2002, and it sucked. I loved last season, 2003 was awesome. 2004 can be just as good.....IF.....we beat Toledo.

I thought that we can still share the West title if we beat Toledo. Granted, NIU gets to the championship, but we ought to be tied with them for 1st in the West.

Right...a win at UT is a shared MAC West title, but NIU goes to the championship game.

I'll take a share of the title, it's better than nothing, but it won't feel like a share of anything when I watch the MACC and see another MAC West team out there instead of us.

Sounds good to me!! We are gonna beat the rockettes....this team has been so focused since the NIU game.

I just might find a way to go to a bowl game in CA yet...if we end up there~
