Eastern has gained my respect as a fooball team. To have to play NIU in front of like 500 people has to be tough for the last game of the season. I think EMU put different people in uniform for the 2nd half but they did play a good game but seemed to have a lot in common with us against NIU. Dropped passes sound familiar? Either way, the EMU crowd seemed to appreciate us being there and I had a blast.
The 8 of us who went represented BG very well. After the game we went down and said congrats to NIU and good luck in the MACC. They all started cheering "BG!" as they went in the locker room. It was a great showing and NIU deserves to win the west. Lets take out Turdledo and help them get there!
Eastern and NIU...

hey, when we are on the field against one another, we're each others worst enemies. but we're always still MAC bretherin. regardless of what happens from here on out, I hope your school gets to go Bowling. after all, its your name!! I hope that you guys aren't moved out of the west division, because this has been a great rivalry the last few years. i'd like to keep it going.. GO FALCONS!McMetz811 wrote:Eastern has gained my respect as a fooball team. To have to play NIU in front of like 500 people has to be tough for the last game of the season. I think their students yelling was because of the fact that they were under the influence. The students making fun of their own team was rather disturbing but what can you do? When Sherrell goes down and your own fan yells you run like my grandma, you don't have to think to long on why Eastern does so bad. If I had no one backing up my play, good or bad, I would feel like crap and play bad all the time.momtartin wrote:I dunno, their students at EMU weren't the greatest fans, a few of them didn't want us there, and a few of those idiots made fun of their own team. I agree, they came out as a different team the 2nd half, but they had a good game

That newspaper happens to be the Northern Star which I believe is NIU's campus paper. He interviewed me as well so I'm going to be looking for that article on Monday!billchase2 wrote:getting interviewed for a newspaper... that was kinda cool too.
