Hockey helmets?

Yo Flock,

Saw BG dropped a hard fought game. ESPN had it as a 3-2 final. :roll:

Quick question...what color are the hockey helmets this year? Looking at the S-T pix online, they look BROWN at times...or are they black?

Must admit I like the new uniforms. Still like BOWLING GREEN spelled out better but the new unis look sharp.

Sounds like the team played hard...no shame in losing to #12. Just keep up the effort!

Brown helmets with orange highlights. I like them a lot, but I havn't talked to anyone else yet who does.

I love the new helmuts. I believe that the pants are also brown....but such a dark brown that they look black.

you cant see it from the distance but the orange is Carbon fiber...light, durable and cool. they did a nice job on this one.

No shame to losing to the #12 team at home?

Remember there are only 49 DI teams and about the last 8-12 of them are not even close to being competitive on a nightly basis with the top 4 conferences.

They are RBK 8K Pro Stock helmets. The orange you see is actually the color of the composite liner inside the helmet. BC wore similar helmets last year, but in a gold and maroon scheme.

I have one in blue and silver scheme, it is a nice helmet, but not as comfortable or nice as the Nike/Bauer 8500's in my opinion.

I agree the new unis look better than I expected.....

Best thing on the ice was certainly the unis - I like the whole package!

The away jerseys have BOWLING GREEN spelled out on the front. And, I love the new BROWN helmets with ORANGE on them!! Absolutely LOVE IT that we have BROWN back in the hockey uniforms!!! :supz: :partyman: \:D/ :smt041 :smt038

I hate the home sweaters. Way too many "Peek-a-boos." Three logos is overkill for a sweater.
