Tekekini prompted me to make this...

Post by bgsufalcon24 »

Okay guys, since Tekekini decided to make me his personal archrival on AZZ.com, I feel like posting something that will in all likelihood get under his skin and prompt one of his highly delusional pro-OSU/anti-BGSU responses that we all know and love. So answer the question above or perhaps provide alternatives here.

I'd LOVE to see Louisiana State face Ohio State in a stadium filled with 60,000+ LSU fans in a virtual LSU home game. Instant blowout victory and Les Miles hoists the crystal football methinks!

I'd LOVE to leave this sh*t alone and talk about BG with a big MAC East win in the pocket and another big game on the horizon.

C'mon guys leave the OSU crap to the mouthbreathers in Columbus.

Who Cares?? They will lose, if and when they lose, when it happens. Right now all I care about is BG downing OU on Saturday.

I'm not an OSU guy at all but I dont see them losing. Especially if BC wins out. I can't see any team in the Big11 scoring on them, as long as they dont turn it over, they win by at least 7 against everyone. If BC drops one then LSU puts the hammer down on the Bucks if not it's BC and OSU with the Bucks are dancing in New Orleans.

I think their offense will provide all the scores the opposition needs in at least one game real soon. The defense also has to contend with the difficult field position the offense provides the opposition.

The defensive td's for MSU were an abberation. Those were the first two defensive td's OSU has given up all season and they've been fairly good with the turnovers lately. If you're relying on your defense to score to beat OSU you're in trouble. The way to beat OSU is control field position and pray you get a turnover or two deep in their territory and then somehow capitalize on it against that defense. Of course that's not easy because OSU can control the ball pretty well when Beanie Wells gets going and that defense isn't going to give you anything. The starters have given up two TD drives all season, that's sick.

Through 8 games:
2006 - 66 points allowed
2007 - 63 points allowed (16 off turnovers and a safety)

In 2006, the Bucks had played 3 top 25 teams at this point in the season. Thus far, the Bucks have played 3 top 25 high school teams. I agree that their defense is really stout, but will the same thing happen late this season as happened late last year versus Michigan and Florida? I think good offenses can put points on the board against OSU. Maybe not 40, but I think a good offense can get in the 20's or low 30's. Enough to beat the slightly above average offense.

If you're a Buckeye fan, here should be your wish list:
1. Win out.
2. Hope BC wins out and the voters keep their heads up their butts and keep BC over LSU at #2. OSU wants no part of LSU in a potential BCS title game.

I think anybody who watched both defenses it's very obvious this year's version is better in all aspects. You could get yards off last year's defense, but they stiffened once you got to the red zone and last year they thrived off getting turnovers at key points. This year it's just flat out stingy. They don't give up hardly anything. Teams are struggling to get across midfield. I remember the announcers saying that prior to that last drive where MSU got a field goal they had run only two plays on OSU's side of the field. Two plays in more than 3 1/2 quarters. MSU was a team averaging well over 400 yards total and over 200 yards rushing and OSU held them to 182 and 49 repectively. Even though the scoring is similar, although only two of the TD's were legitimate scores against the first team defense, I think the yardage is more telling of the difference between the two defenses.

2006 Defense Yards Per Game:
Passing: 182.2 ypg
Rushing: 98.3 ypg
Total: 280.5 ypg

2007 Defense Yards Per Game:
Passing: 146.1 ypg
Rushing: 62.4 ypg
Total: 208.5 ypg

Go Bucks!

Your buying into the SEC love fest. LSU very easily could have three losses. They will un out of luck. You cant win every game on a 4th down play in the final 5 seconds which LSU has done twice. They do not impress me. They are not a bad team obviously but they are not as great as everyone makes them out to be. They are going to be what OSU was last year. Everyone is going to tell them how good they are for 50 days and they will get smacked in the mouth. College football season is a playoff. you have to win your games. LSU has one loss, they should actually be ranked behind Kansas, Hawaii, and whoever else is undefeated. BC is where they should be at this time. It is no ones fault that LSU lost except for LSU's.

Les Myles is not a very good coach. You can't go for it down by 3 with 6 seconds left, no timeouts, and go for the touchdown on everyone. That is stupid. it worked for him in two games but it is stupid. They will lose one more game.

You dont watch the games do you?

This is laughable. The offense has been pretty damn good. You look at those 50 seconds where the offense allowed MSU's D score twice. 50 seconds where the offense looked bad. 50 seconds this season and we are 9 games in now. I bet you would kill for BG's offense to only look bad for 50 seconds of their season.

They dominated Penn State's Defense. Damn near flawless.

Everyone please keep talkin s**t about the bucks..They are feeding off it. I love all of the disrespect in the national media.

Yep- I personally know several OSU players who derive their motivation from reading the anti-buckeye trash talk on this board. If this board ever layed off the bucks they would drop out of the rankings altogether.

That Ohio State team that went to Penn St. and put the wood to them like that as they did is for real. I'm not a big OSU fan but thats one helluva football team. They can stand toe 2 toe with anyone in the country. The biggest win for them was BC beating Va. Tech. It went from OSU vs LSU in the Super Dome a virtual home game for the Tigers to OSU vs BC and what will turn out to be a virtual home game for OSU.
