A UT Stunt for Tuesday?

Post by Bleeding Orange »

I've seen this discussed elsewhere, but I haven't seen what all of the talk is supposedly about? Are they planning to put tabasco in our teams jock straps? Are they going to cover the seats in the BG section with glue? Are they going to send toothless graduates to come and pick fights at our tailgate?

Someone please fill me in. I am running wild with speculation at this point...

Probably same crap, different day. Painting the spirit rock, a funny sign, etc. They can't do anything too extreme or face consequences. Honestly, don't let them scare you. Just trying to get in your head before Tuesday.

Oh, I really don't give a damn what those rubes do. I was just curious because the talk elsewhere seemed to indicate that there were threats of something fairly big that had already been made. Just wanting to be prepared, not getting scared!! Do you think a bunch of people in blue and gold could scare me? HA! NEVER going to happen!

Whatever is gonna happen, it's best just to ignore it. It will be tough but I'm going to see our team win a piece of the West title while denying UT the same.

From what I have picked up from their board:
- They have permission from an assistant AD for whatever it might be
- Someone discussed it with their lasw prfoessor and the professor said it was ok, but pushing the limit
- "It" was being shipped last week from someplace out west
- They need a decent supply of power for whatever it is.

As I stated on the MACbbs, short of getting some ROTC types to shoot Omar, there isn't much that a group of pre-Burger King majors in the stands are going to be able to do to effect the outcome of the game.

Whatever stunt those boys have in mind will surely come back to haunt them when the time clock reads 0:00 and the Falcons leave the field with yet another win.

As I discussed with BGSUfanatut, I think they want us to think one thing when they are going actually do something else. Why else would they have a top secret project in the running for 4 months than suddenly start giving vague hints away on the internet. Like they say where they are going meet to practice it. WTF? Why would you be so secretive then tell us that? They are trying to throw us off. They are trying to get in our heads. My money is that they are either entirely bluffing or they are creating a diversion by telling us this info. We shall see

Well, given my deductive reasoning skills, it sounds to me like they are trying to get some sort of speaker or noise-making device. Can't think of anything else that could affect the outcome of the game and needs a lot of power.

Whatever it is, its a shame that they have so little faith in their team that they are willing to resort to extraordinary measures to help them win. They are gutless and yellow.

That would be in vein. Not quite sure how anything could make more noise than Oklahoma or Ohio State...not to mention we use hand signals???

Honestly, come on. First, they aren't intelligent to put anything like this together. Second, the MAC reps will be there and stop anything that goes against the rules. The ESPN presence will keep the MAC officials from letting anything take away from the game. Third, if they pull anything off that shows a lack of class, bowl reps will pick up on it. No bowl will want fans that are unruly, especially after the Pacers/Pistons and S. Carolina/Clemson problems.

The "stunts" aren't anything big...

I don't think a few pennies in a plastic bottle is going to be a big deal.

They're talking about the threads entitled "Rockets Anonymous" or something like that.

I don't really see us being rattled by the noise. We have played in much louder stadiums against much better teams. Let the babies bring their rattles and we'll show them who their daddy is.

Freak, you're killing me!!!

It's probably a big sign that lights up and says "bgsucks" since that's the only thing they know how to say.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
