Gotta dig deeper....

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Last night was a frustrating loss. BG simply made too many mistakes to win the game. I didn't see anyone congratulate the Bobcats on their win so I will do so. They capitilized on our mistakes and made the plays to win the game. They had a horrible performance at Toledo last week with EIGHT TO's and came out last night and turned it over once. BG had 4 TO's. Ball game....turning the ball over usually leads to a loss. I told McRae after the game what a great performance he had...and he was a very gracious winner. Ohio did what they needed to do to win and played a better game than BG. I thought BG was the better team going in.

2007 has been a bizarre season. Any team in the MAC can beat anyone else...except maybe NIU right now. What happened to the preseason favorites? Kent State and WMU? Both are in big time danger of having losing seasons. I know most people around here thought BG would finish anywhere from 4-8 to maybe 8-4. Right now, we're 4-4, 2-2 MAC...nobody picked this team to win the East. It doesn't look promising now for an East title.

This team has got to pick itself back up off the mat. Akron comes in in 5 days and they are a bigger question mark than BG. This team can still have a winning season but the focus must be there for 60 minutes.
Gotta protect the home turf which we clearly did not do last night.

IMO, I think Coach B is down to a 4 game audition for his job. I think he needs to win 3 of 4 and MUST beat UT.

GO FALCONS!!! BEAT AKRON

One game at a time.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Don't completely lose hope Freak. I think anything is possible. For comparision, when I look at the SEC east, I see the winner having 3 losses, when considering the remaining games. I see the same looking at the MAC. One game at a time, but with a record of 2-2, 4 and 2 in the east is still possible. We still are not mathmatically eliminated yet.

Whoa, RUIT just agreed that Brandon's job might be on the line this year? Unbelievable, I can't believe my eyes. Hopefully the both of you are correct and that another loss to UT/1-3 or 0-4 finish will earn GB the gate.

Don't be surprised by this. I have quite a history of being critical of Brandon's decisions as a coach, actually (Oct 2004).

It's not personal. He's a good guy on that level and a man with whom I would want to have a beer. I'm critical of his job performance.

I haven't given up hope, PGY....it's just very frustrating after a solid road win at Kent State. We were in much better shape before Saturday and now they need to do it again...one game at a time, indeed.

I'm still pullin' for Coach B to get it done in November. Sept was a solid month and Oct was one to forget. I'm just saying I think Coach's job status is getting dangerously close to the edge right now. I still support the man, always have. Like RUIT said, he's a good dude and all. But the job description is to win games and titles...we still have 4 games, all winnable IMO, and can finish the season with a bang. I hope I'm right.

I have never talked to him personally, but he comes off as being rather arrogant to me. Just my opinion.

I think he may sound that way on the radio/interviews, but he's always been pretty forthcoming if you send him an e-mail to ask a question.

That's because he hasn't put two and two together yet to realize you're that hammb guy on AZZ.com that has been calling for his head for three years.
