This whole "could I catch punts" mini-debate has me thinking about something a bit off topic. What if you were actually in the position of our current players? Suppose for a minute you were a football player at Bowling Green, and Gregg Brandon told you that you could play any position on the field. Would you try your hand at QB and leading the attack, our would you be the defensive end trying to sack the opposing team's QB? Perhaps you played football in younger days and decide to stick with the spot you were at? We all view the game differently, so I'm interested to hear where people think they could (or once did) best make an impact.

Some of our bodies have gone from WR/RB to OL over the years, so we think like one, but have the body for the other!!

My game is very CP esque. I can catch just about anything and people usually under-rate me. Still there is just something not smooth the way I go about getting catches and yards!

I picked "other" because I'd be a fixture on scout team special teams. I combine a 6-1/175 frame with a minimal vertical leap, low top speed, lack of a burst and fear of pain. I would be a great third-teamer for punt returns or kick coverage.

On the other hand, I think I could be an AWESOME third-string QB. I have extremely neat handwriting, which could be a great asset when charting plays.

Isn't that the job of the second-string QB? I don't think I'm that coordinated.

Me being relatively young here at 25 and at 5'11 about 185 I'd be a WR or RB I guess. If I actually worked out and got in serious shape I'd have pretty darn good speed if I may say so. I believe I have the hands to catch a friggin punt too.

O-line. While I'm not really built like anything resembling a lineman (on either side of the ball) I always played center in frat games on the marching band field. 4 years of playing and I only gave up 1, maybe 2 sacks. Mostly though, that kind of position appeals to my mentality. I may not be the most visible, or most appreciated, but if I wasn't there you'd really notice.

Ok, well everyone on here that thinks they could catch a punt, have u ever actually tried it? It is not as easy as you may think, and it is definately harder then catching kickoffs. I am not makin an excuse for zach because he practices it and should be able to catch that punt in a critical part of the game. Right now I think it is more of a mental issue with him...when you start thinkin too much about what you are doing and making sure you dont mess up it can cause you to screw up like that. But everyone on this board that really thinks they can catch a punt in a critical part of the game when you know you have guys lookin to take your head off...I would like to see it...

No doubt...he looked a tad uncomfortable back there, but I think I would look worse. Heck...I'm 6-4/5 and about 290lbs....I'd look frigging stupid back there.

Manly as hell, but stupid nonetheless
