I don't see how you could possibly blame the offense for the defense's struggles. They've played well all year outside of a 2-game stretch in early October. The defense really hasn't done much of anything outside of the MSU game and maybe the Kent game. Even the WKU game was deceptive because we got lucky with turnovers.

B.L makes some good points. At Miami, the D was on the field over 36 minutes. Ohio U held the ball for over 35 minutes. I know we have some injuries up front but still....

Football is a team game and until we see all 3 phases of the team clicking, we'll continue to struggle. Hopefully we put it all together for the final month of the season.

That being said your post is mostly BS looking to push the blame elsewhere. I'm guessing that you are friends or family with some member(s) of the front 7. I'm not going to say our offense is perfect, because it is certainly not. I'm not about to say that our defensive backfield is perfect, because that's REALLY far from the truth. But you are completely WRONG if you're thinking that our front 7 is playing okay and it's the rest of the team that is failing them.

Our LBs are not filling holes and our DL is getting pushed around on a consistent basis. You'd have to be blind to believe otherwise. You wanna know why Haneline has so many tackles? I'll tell you why. The defense is on the freaking field for an eternity because a) they cannot get a stop to save their lives, and b) the offense gives the ball back too quickly. The result is SOMEBODY has to get those tackles, and it just so happens that Haneline is the only LB on the team that consistently fills the holes and brings down the ball carriers. I expected big things from Dozier this year, but he's been nearly invisible. The same goes for Briggs.

I'm sorry, but your post is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. We gave up 260 yards rushing. We average giving up 212 yards per game. We're the #112 ranked team in rushing in the freaking country! What's worse is that we've still been giving up those gobs of yardage to teams like Miami & OU that cannot even typically run the ball!

No, I'm sorry, our front 7 is a major problem, and it's painfully obvious. If you're relying on your DBs to stop the run you've already screwed up.
