This is the most comical thing I have ever read here...and that includes MACMAN's and Teketinithut....

You obviously know nothing about college football. EVERY team rebuilds at some point. EVERY team. Sheese.

And the guy that started this worthless thread? You must be a wannabe WR jealous of CP. That kid is every bit as tough as any player you'll ever see. I played football from 4th grade thru 12th...wasn't nearly good enough to play at the collegiate level and I can live with that. VERY few players are good enough to play at the collegiate level. CP is one of them and I don't think he needs to prove anything to some jackazz that shows up on this board out of nowhere.

As far as Sheehan? Tyler is struggling...no doubt. But he has a lot of potential. He has started a grand total of 8 games...

But that's not the worst part.

The worst part is, Falconballer, if you know anything at all about AZZ.com, you know that Partridge's family reads this forum as actively as any player's family.

So, to know that and to still speculate about a supposed lack of courage on Corey's part?

It's utterly, unbelieveably classless.[/quote]

So since his father reads this I cant make a post? I hope he reads it and tells Cory to suck it up and play. Prove me wrong. Because if he does then BG will win. Wont win very many games with Cory on the bench. Classless...phhhhh I'm not gonna tiptoe around something because of family. Family is supposed to hear stuff like this, even better they are supposed to tell them.

Wow...first calling out Corey and now his dad? CP's dad is a great dude and knows a thing or two about collegiate athletics...as he was a student-athlete at Kent State.

You seem to think it's so easy....why not go straight to GB's office and ask for a tryout as a walk on?

IF CP can't go at WR, I know Derek Brighton is ready to step up again. He had a monster game at MSU when subbing for CP. I was just watching the game on tape last night and will never forget when Brighton caught a high pass from Tyler, turned and saw an MSU DB coming straight at him. DB lowered his shoulder and ran the dude over...knocked his azz into the turf and kept on running back to the huddle...all in front of the MSU bench.

falconballer...thread like this serve no real purpose. You don't know how badly CP is hurt...you don't know if he's going to miss one game, three games or any games but you come on here and start calling him out for not being tough enough.

Does that really seem like a smart thing to do? (trust me, it's not)

Your stupid post then results in two pages of people calling you stupid. You may hear that all day anyway, but I don't think using a discussion board devoted to BGSU sports is the appropriate way to reinfoirce the notion that you have a general lack of smarts.

Perhaps you should hold off on making judgements on players until you have all the facts, ok?
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

HA! Now THAT's a joke!
Two carrots are crossing the street when one gets hit by a bus. An ambulance arrives and whisks the badly injured carrot and his friend to the ER. The friend anxiously paces the floor for hours until a doctor comes out.

"How is he, doc?" the friend asks.

"Well, I have good news and bad news," the doctor says gravely. "The good news is, he'll survive. The bad news is, he'll be a vegetable the rest of his life."

I really cant believe the statements this kid is making, he clearly doesn't have a clue...and how do you expect someone to catch a football with a torn ligament (what i have heard) in his thumb and a cast on his hand? You know damn well Corey would be out there if it was at all possible for him to be and if the doctors let him, so you clearly dont know Corey at all. Corey will be back on the field this year, just maybe not at WR ;).

One of the English or Journalism majors will have to help with this, but isn't "Phhhhh" correctly spelled with only five h's?

I don't think I've ever seen it spelled with six.

1st off, you all need to lighten up. Sorry I'm just an "egg" on this discussion board, but I have to start somewhere. We are all on this discussion board because we are unconditional falcons. When I said, "this is DI football, there should never be a "rebuilding year," I'm sorry, there shouldn't be. (Thanks for you encouraging words there falconfreak90, also, don't assume anything :D ). So your content that when a starting player or a key player is hurt, or is finished with his career at BG, then it's okay to have an off season? If you don't have a good person to back up your starters, something failed in the team process. Do injuries occur? Yes! Do student athletes become ineligible? Yes! Do players leave their college career eary for one reason or another? Yes! Do coaching changes occure? Yes! All of this does affect the next years season, but to accept the fact that this is a "rebuilding year" is accepting that you are an average team. And I consider Bowling Green above average. There is too much history and tradition here to just stay average. You know what, I'm not questioning Corey's integrity or athletic ability. Anyone that suits up to play for the falcons is a winner in my eyes. Anyone on this discussion board showing respect for the school, players, coaches and fans, is a winner in my eyes. If you are hurt or injured, you have to step it up a notch out there. I don't care who you are or what position you are. If your opponent knows you're hurt, they will work the gameplan around you. That's why you step it up.

Dude,

ALL teams have to rebuild at some time...especially in the MAC. That is not an assumption, but a fact. :-D Do you realize how difficult it is to stay on top in college football? Look at Florida...national champs last year and 3 losses already this year. USC is another one. You can't win it every year at this level.

You assume I think it's ok to have an off year? Yet you accuse me of assuming? That's good. And if you think I feel "average" is ok at BG, you are way off base. I've had season tickets since 1996 and go to most of the away games as well. I want BG to win the MAC title every year and when we don't have a good season, it sucks. I BLEED orange and brown, babe...few are more passionate about this great program than me. I don't care for another college team or any pro teams...BGSU is MY team and I live and die with them every game, every year.

So you aren't questioning CP's integrity or ability but you question his heart and desire?

Nice.

I believe the correct word is, in fact, Pfffffttt.

That's 1 P, five fs and three ts.

I'd need to reference Strunk & White to be sure, but that's my educated opinion.

:)

The six h form is considered archaic but is still used in a poetic context at times as it is here.
