Sometimes I just can't believe that smallminded, moralistic horseshit I read on this site.
The man has a family to feed and his job prospects were uncertain at best. As if he'd risk filing bankruptcy because of Sampson's cheating allogations. As if he and everybody else worth their salt lives by an ultra-strict moral code regardless of their life situation. As if any of us actually have GOOD information about why he left WVU in the first place.
When DD left for WVU, he was a hot commodity and had options galore. Now, he doesn't. Indiana was a port in a storm for him, and now he and his family are closer to relatives.
Some of you need to get a grip on L-I-F-E. And his radio comments about BG, in the overall scheme of things, mean about as much as a pimple on your ass.
Dakich may land a coaching job after all

Personally I don't care if Dan Dakich takes a job helping the Devil stoke the fires of hell. He's got a family to feed (to quote Latrell Sprewell). Still, you must see a little irony in the fact that he left a previous job because of potential allegations, and now went to IU, of course he probably easily forgives his alma mater, most of us do as well.
As for Dan's comments on the radio, no you're right they don't mean jack s**t in the grand scheme, but you know what? They exemplify a total lack of class. Dan's legacy here for the past 4 years was that he was such a great guy, but a lousy coach. I'm sorry but his radio comments really start to tarnish his once perfect image. Personally I think any class the guy showed was just an act anyway, but there is no doubt that he had the reputation as a great guy.

He wins it doesn't matter what he says. He goes on Norm Wamer's show because Wamer supported him when things were bad. No coach will ever leave a major program at BGSU, without people who dislike him or her. Money hungry, horrible coach, it won't matter. He said stupid things , and did lots of good things. He is like alot of us. HUMAN. Move on....

We criticized DD heavily when he was here, but not in this way.
It's very cheap and easy to dump on DD's character now that he's gone. Were we saying these things when he was here? Rarely, and mainly an isolated few. Why bother saying them now? He was a good man who tried extremely hard and has a few faults. It is a drag to read this kind of petty stuff about him now.
