Haneline suffers broken foot

Post by TG1996 »

Brandon just mentioned in the postgame, John Haneline broke his foot. :(

He's been such a stud this year, his absence will be noticed.
On the other hand, Glen Stanley came in and played like a champ!

That really sucks, I was looking forward to watching him play in a couple weeks. And yes, Glen Stanley looked great, as did all the Falcons.

So Proud...GO BG !!!!

Damn!!! That is a major blow!!! Not what we wanted to hear. I saw him go down and was hoping it was just a sprained ankle or something. That is a real shame. Ransom, Haneline, Partridge, Davis, Sanderson, maybe Geter, the list of starters going down is starting to stack up.
GO BG!!!

well hold the phone...

Cal Bowers says later in the postgame that Haneline "might have a stress fracture"... Hmmm...

When Haneline came over to the sidelines, he was hopping on one foot and he threw his helmet upon reaching the bench. With that kind of frustration I knew it had to be something serious. If it is a broken foot that's a real shame. He's been very consistent, something we haven't seen much of across the whole team. IMO he's been our defensive MVP this year, with Kenny Lewis and Sean Odrobinak following.

Speaking of O'Dro, what exactly is wrong with his left arm? Some plays, it seems he can barely move it at all! He's obviously playing through a lot of pain, but was just curious to the extent of the injury?

I don't know. I remember shaking hands with Odrobinak after the game on the field with several other guys. I didn't notice anything wrong with his left arm at the time but I really wasn't thinking about it.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

He's having a heck of a time with it. When you can see the pain he's in from the chairback seats, you know something really hurts! He's a tough guy. I loved him at tight end. I'd love to see him line up one more time at tight end and catch one last score!

Losing Haneline is huge...he has been da man all year. Stanley played well. it's great to see younger guys stepping up and ready to play when called on.

Basler might get more action as well.
