Hahaha Ohio State
I was at that game. It was brutal. They were still Findlay College then, I believe.BGSU33 wrote:Actually, we did play Findlay a few years ago during the 2003-04 season and we won 64-50. There it is for all to see. I don't care if it was exhibition or not...we are always hearing how freaking great OSU is in everything, right? Sorry, but this made my day and I don't care that it doesn't count.BGDrew wrote:A Big 10 team that went to the national championship game last year just lost to division 2 Findlay.Falcon137 wrote:Obviously, but who cares? If Ohio State goes on to win 24 games and make the sweet sixteen will this game matter? If this was Ohio St. season opener and they just dropped to 0-1 it would be a big deal. The season didn't start tonight for OSU, they're not going to drop in the polls or lose any sleep. The biggest thing for those players will be the next couple practices this week....ouch.
Nice job, Findlay!

Congrats to Findlay! They should have everyone else on their schedule shaking in their sneakers right now.
But where is the other Big Ten bash thread? I mean Michigan State did get beaten by Grand Valley State I believe. Wait, I forgot, we only slam OSU when they get beaten. I am sure Michigan State was just having an off night.

Granted, most of it is about the OSU game in the second thread, but I think it's to be expected that another in-state school would receive more commentary than one out of state.

Well yes. I just thing that on a BGSU Falcons fan board there would be more concern with what is going on with UT, you do remember UT, than with a school in a totally different conference. Also, I hope you would know me a little better and where my loyalties lie. I am a BGSU fan first. I just find it funny that we spend more time on a school in a different conference than we do with our true rivalries.

I agree, but it's the way it is. The OSU-bashing threads die much much faster when none of the OSU-defenders jump on them to chastise folks. You're the exception to the OSU-defender rule. I just wanted to be able to use the word traveshamockery in a sentence. It's the Journey... wrote:I just thing that on a BGSU Falcons fan board there would be more concern with what is going on with UT, you do remember UT, than with a school in a totally different conference. And as soon as UT loses to Findlay, I'll be all over it.

Where's that guy that used to make fun of "Ron Niekamp for coach at BG" now?

Everyone needs to relax.
To Findlay this was the biggest game of the season, and it is means absolutely nothing towards their official record, to OSU is was simply an exhibition game.
To Cowboy Joe who says OSU should never lose to Findlay, no matter what. My response is this:
If Every team won the games that they were supposed to win against lesser opponents then there would never be a reason to play the games, there would never be an upset in the NCAA tourney, there would never be that Cinderalla feel good story and the tournament would be completely boring and pointless. Upsets are a lot easier to come by in basketball than a sport like football.......BUT based on what your saying...
There would be no point in playing a game like App state v UM because UM would automatically win..right? Oh wait. s**t, Michigan lost that game... Oh that should never happen. Guess we should have cancelled that game and gave UM the win to avoid the upset?
To the person who was waiting for the excuses...there are none. It is a learning process and losing to Findlay is a learning process for a team full of freshman.
It is laughable that you people are so nit picky and need an exhibition loss that means nothing just so you have SOMETHING to get on OSU. It makes you fairly pathetic and/or extremely jealous.
Hell half of the players in that game last night toward the end will not even see the floor this year. Big Deal!! They have to learn to play as a team. It will come.
OSU is still in the running to make the tourney, and the conference title.
Wake me up when BG gets there.
Your hoops team is beyond pathetic. Maybe you shouldn't dog on others when your own is nothing to write home about.

Who went to the Buckseye site and dogged on them? And here you are on another team's fan site dogging our team. Why would a BiG 10 "O" fan be on this site to read these posts? Speaking of PATHETIC.......tekekini wrote:Everyone needs to relax.

It is really fun pretending Tekini is a real Ohio State fan that is so pathetic he would continue to hang on our every word but shouldn't we be nicer to the Ohio State fans and not make them all look so pathetic by association. All in fun I guess...........
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
I didn't say anything about you going to OSU's boards to dog on them, but atleast that would make more sense. You spend more time on your own BG boards talking about OSU than you do BG sometimes. I find it pathetic that you dog them on your OWN board when your own team sucks.FalconTurf wrote:Who went to the Buckseye site and dogged on them? It would be better if you went to the OSU boards to talk s**t. It would make more sense.
I am on your site sogging your team because it wouldnt make sense to dog on your teams on an OSU board. It only makes sense to come to your place to dog you. I dont know how many times you want me to tell you that it makes more sense, but if I say it a bunch of times maybe just once it will click in your empty head.
OSU just wins and makes NC appearances while BG..well, they need a lot of help. Good luck with that. You will be lucky to win 9 games this year.
