The Zips facility will likely launch them to the top of the recruiting heap! Dam that place looks sweet.

And, look, even if Ohio wasn't calling its time outs, it had them. Akron did the right thing.

It basically keeps BG's hope alive for a possible MAC Championship appearance. A lot still must happen, but it was a small piece we needed to have go our way since Ohio had the tie-breaker on us head-to-head which could also come into play in a multiple-team tie break. Obviously, we need Miami and Buffalo to stumble too, and of course, BG must beat UB.
GO BG!!!

We may still have the edge on UA in recruiting as far as facilities go. We have an awesome blend of new technology and old tradition.

And our band is better
Yeah right girl!

Boy am I glad I'm not a betting man. I would've bet the house on Ohio. Hats off to the Zip staff & team; they could have easily cashed it in after the BG game, but they obviously have a lot more fight left in them.

Holtz wasn't complaining about the score, he simply was stating that the zips did not need to put that one in and could have taken a knee since OU did not call a time out and they could have just left the game.

Yeah, it will be nice. But I keep hearing how the Zips have had the best recruiting classes the last two years but I don't see it on the field.
There is no doubt the Rubber Bowl needs to go...

As someone else said, we have a hell of a sweet place of our own with YEARS of tradition. A new facility doesn't automatically = titles.

Watched the game...loved the result. Beat EMU!!!!!

BTW, I like Rece Davis and Mark May but the drunken leprechaun needs to go...sheese. Holtz needs to settle down a bit, IMO. I never cared for his coaching style even though he had success.

Good point, 87. Akron has some playas and they kinda underachieve every year. I didn't think they would win but glad they did! Now they need to make it 2 straight next Wed night. This is like a pennant race...watching other games...great to see the season is far from over.
Akron/Miami will be on ESPN next week... :-D GO ZIPS!
