Need Hockey This Weekend?

Post by jpfalcon09 »

The BG Club Team has two home games this weekend against Ohio State. Friday's game starts at 10pm, and Saturday's game at 10:15. Come support the BG Men's Club Hockey Team as they try to defeat the Buckeyes. It's free, and we always appreciate more people in the building.

The clubbers have been up and down this year. We'll play well in spurts, but overall the feeling is that we can do much better. Practices this week were pretty intense, it's a big weekend for us being home against a good opponent. Hope to see some of you there.

How did they play against UK. I had hoped to get over to the games, but Midnight starts are just too late for me.

Speaking of which, when is the new Kentucky poster going to be released?

No idea. Normally they have an announcement that they will have them at the games. I haven't seen any for this season around campus either. I was hoping to get a new one. While Tara Conor makes my office door a little prettier, she is so last year.

Against UK, we lost 3-0 Friday night and lost 8-1 Saturday night. They have a very good team down there and they get big crowds for their games which gives them a good advantage. The guys were pretty upset about the trip and we're hoping to turn that negative energy into wins against the Buckeyes this weekend.

Thanks to all who made it out this weekend for the clubbers set with Ohio State. The Falcons won Friday night 7-2 but lost the 2nd game 5-1 to the #5 regionally ranked Buckeyes. Please support the BG Club Team as they host Dayton this Friday after the varsity game against Northern Michigan. It's free and can expand on your hockey weekend. Hope to see you all there!

I came to the game on Friday and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for letting us know because I wasn't aware of the schedule for the clubbers---it was a great game!! I'm glad they won!

Glad you got a chance to make it. We're really trying to get more people to come watch us play...it's good hockey, it's free and the games only last about 2 hours. Some of the varsity players popped in Saturday just before our game ended and it made our guys feel better after we were heading towards defeat. We hope many of you will stick around after the varsity game Friday night to enjoy some extra free hockey...and don't be shy to say to any of us.
