Three Marshall players ruled ineligible, will miss season

FROM WIRE REPORTS

Three Marshall players have been declared academically ineligible for this season.

Coach Bob Pruett didn’t specify the players when making the announcement Tuesday, but Marshall’s media relations director said yesterday that they were center Nate Howard, linebacker Carlos Morgan and defensive back Terick Thomas.

Howard, a redshirt freshman from Huntington, W.Va., was expected to miss playing time anyway because he needs hernia surgery.

Howard and Thomas did not play last season. Morgan, a junior from Locust Grove, Ga., played in six games last year and had two tackles.

Gotta love it. Sure they have success, all they have to do is sacrifice their morals and any sense of the words, "Student Athlete"
