GMAC Bowl: Memphis vs. Bowling Green

CBS also has Oklahoma v. Kansas in the Fiesta Bowl. I find it highly unlikely that the Fiesta Bowl would select a second Big 12 team.

They will definitely not have a Big-12 title game rematch...that would be stupidity!!!

Ahh.. but you're making the ASSumption that they beat Mizzou...

As far as this game goes, there's no way I could make it. We get a few weeks off for XMas (teachers), but this game falls at the very end of the break, and they frown upon making the break longer. Suck.

Hmm...BG and Memphis in the GMAC bowl....talk about deja vu. The biggest thing I remember from that trip in '04 was the 23 hour bus trip back home in the snow then driving home from BG just to get on a plane to fly to Pennsylvania.
As others of you have said, I still have my beads as well, it took me awhile to dig them all out of my tuba though.

Anyway, if this happens, this could very well be an interesting rematch. I believe though, that in '04 we weren't second in the MAC, but got the bowl bid anyway considering we had gotten the invitation sometime before the MAC Championship Game.
In any case, no matter what bowl the team gets invited to go to, I'll be there!

If this matchup does occur, maybe we can hype it as "Illegal Substitution II" in honor of the Tigers failing to sustain that all important drive with two of these stupid penalties, and the second one occuring after a timeout.
