Do you all remember when this place was hopping before the season started? It was fun to hop in here everytime I logged on and now its just getting boring.

We're having a great season and there is a lot to talk about.

SO LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Falcon Fanatic, I know you can help!

I agree with you and hope that things pick up after we stomp the snot out of the team up north. Things have been pretty focused on the football team, ...that and we got our cans handed to us last week by Wayne State. I STILL expect HUGE things out of the team this year. The coming three weekends could make or break our final standings; ie...home ice for the playoffs!!! We need to take 3-4 points each weekend!!! I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!!! The Wayne State game is history, total focus now is on sweeping Miami!!! As long as Siggy plays well (he will, he had his one "off" game!), the power play keeps clicking (no more shorties for the opposition!), and Matsumoto keeps scoring, we are going to be in awesome shape heading into the Christmas break!!!

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEEEEEEEEEP THE REDSKINHAWKS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well, do you want to discuss concerns, or happy talk?

Concerns:
1)how many first-shot goals has Siggy let in?
2)good teams don't have 9 goals scored against them
3)without Jon Sitko, our defense is not stout - hope he heals completely and can get back soon

Happy talk:
1)with 4 games in hand against several teams ahead of us in the CCHA, a string of wins would put us solidly in the upper half of the league
2)freshmen, Jon Matsumoto obviously, and others are making a huge difference this year
3)I expect the Falcons will have studied last Saturday's tapes, and realize that many basic mistakes were made, and Wayne State took advantage. These guys have played the game long enough to know how to correct, and should do much better this weekend against Miami.
4)Meloche is becoming the scorer we hoped he would be
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

Definitely something I've noticed about Siggy, he starts out so slow. He's an amazing clutch player, but you can't let 4 goals in the first period.

I don't know about this year, but I think if we get another good recruiting class (this year's is turning out to be pretty good) I think we can compete for a title in the next few years. For now I will be happy with hosting a home playoff series and making it to the Joe.

Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking on the part of BGSUfanatUT. :? Don't have an orgy yet guys. We may indeed be better than last year, but we still got our butts kicked by another no name team I've never heard of before. We still got tons of improving to do.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!! BEAT MIAMI!!!!!!! :supz:
