Shuffling off to Buffalo...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Who's making the trip? I will be most likely flying solo for this one and staying at the Red Roof Inn down the street from UB stadium.

Weather.com currently has cloudy and 42 for Game day.

I'm going. Not sure how yet, might have a ride, might be driving somebody, might be driving myself. Dunno, just know I'm going. And I'm turning down OSU-Michigan tickets to go.

I wish I could say the same. I grew up a Michigan fan, am in my second year at BG, am now a bigger BG fan than a Michigan fan, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to go to the "Big Game" since the opportunity presented itself. But, I will be receiving texts galore from a plethora of BG friends sending me updates, and that game will definitely be on my mind. GO FALCONS!

I'll be there and am bringing some friends.

Anyone who comes, don't forget the W-NY alumni are putting together a tailgate. No cost, all welcome.

Here are the latest details I received in an e-mail:

BG Alums and friends,
We are less than two weeks away from the BG / UB contest at UB and I wanted to update everyone on the tent party.

The party is free to all alums and all friends. There will be pop and beer and snacks and anything else that we may decide to bring. The party starts at 11:00 and runs until gametime which is 1:00.

Our Athletic Director and Lori Corvino from the alumni office will join us and Lori is bringing some BG goodies to hand out. Anyone who needs tickets purchased in advance let me know and i can do that for you. You can also purchase tickets on game day at one of the gate areas to the stadium.

Hopefully we'll have good weather but regardless come out and enjoy the pre-game and what looks like a great game between BG and UB. GO BG.

Location: Tent will be just west of the Coventry road and Augsburger Road intersection on Augsburger road. It will be adjacent (on the grass) to the designated tailgating parking area with the BG flag flying.

LB,

Count me in! I don't mind leaving the grill behind for one week...saves time on the clean up. I'll have my BG flag as well. I'll be in the lot by 9:30 to enjoy some breakfast barley pops. ;) :drinkers: Looking forward to seeing you again and hopefully we'll have an outcome like 2005. Our first game there wasn't much fun. Any word on what the crowd might be like? Has Buffalo stirred up some excitement this year? It's a great stadium to see a game and if the weather turns nasty, you can stand under the upper level. ;-)

I wouldn't mind being in AA for that game either, hammb. What a difference a year makes so far, eh?

HamJR,

Thanks for the kind words, bro. How's your dad doing? I'm sure we'll see you guys for the school up north.

MarkL,

You truly bleed Orange and Brown. I know that had to be difficult because let's face it...OSU/UM is always a huge game. FALCONS first, though. :-D

Good man! I'll have a beer for ya waiting Sat.

Haven't been to a game since homecoming, so I've been counting the days until this one for a while, I can't wait. The work week could not move any slower....and it's only Monday. I'll be at the alumni event and maybe drifting around before hand. Looking forward to seeing a group of BG fans again, so when you see the guy wearing Bills and BG stuff be sure to say hi. What a football weekend in western New York, BG with a huge game, and the Bills in primetime with a chance to shock the world.

LET'S GO FALCONS, and BILL-IEVE !!
