I was waiting for that one....very similar. Dixon went down and Leaf looked totally lost. Oregon's D has issues with the pass. Still, Arizona almost blew it. Good game and it's nice to see the PAC 10 on the tube.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:NWLB wrote:Way over. They utterly imploded when he went out. Yes, I get that he was the leader of that team, but wow. I can't recall such a total implosion like this.

I agree jp. Everyone in the stadium saw the obvious facemask and nothing? The OR LB was kinda laughing knowing he got away with one. And how many freakin replays do we have to see? It ruins the flow of the game.jpfalcon09 wrote:Why are so many college officials inept this year? That face mask was as blatant as they come, sheesh. And then they had to also review that supposed fumble where the player was clearly down. It makes you wonder what these guys are watching sometimes.

What I cannot believe is that the officials permitted the students to be that close to the field for the final 3 minutes of the game. That was a prime example of poor crowd control and a disaster waiting to happen. Don't get me wrong, I am glad to see Arizona playing some good football but act like you've been there before.

That was amazing. And they certainly could have gotten a sideline warning and penalty given the numbers and proximity to the sideline.
That said, they managed to keep out of the way, and the other team had the good grace not to make a stink of it.

As I said earlier in this thread, this is habitual behavior in Tucson. I've seen it with my own eyes, and there is nothing like it. And Arizona fans wouldn't know how to act like they've been there before (at a football game) because the only other time they've "been there" has been on the hardwood. So, if my theory follows, they're just doing what they're used to with a winner. It's the Journey... wrote:What I cannot believe is that the officials permitted the students to be that close to the field for the final 3 minutes of the game. I never said they were the brightest bunch on the planet, though.

At what point were the Arizona students interrupting the flow of the game? They waited till there was no time on the clock, and didn't create any issues with the game going on the field. Were they any closer to the action than our students would be at a game at Anderson Arena?
