Somehow I think Central may not have been trying very hard in this one. They were probably resting guys since they already won the West division title and are already bowl eligible. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe EMU just beat them straight up.
The parity in this league is astounding.

By clinching the division, they are technically NOT bowl eligible yet. If they lose out, including the MACC, they're 6-7.
And I don't know if 45 points is a sign of packing it in... then again, giving up 48 points to EMU might be.

You're right about the possible 6-7 thing TG, but I'd be surprised to see CMU lose to the Redhawks. They just have too many weapons, and Miami's offense just has days where they don't click at all. Granted, CMU's defense isn't that great and Miami's is probably better, but CMU beat down a pretty good defense in the Ohio Bobcats last year.TG1996 wrote:By clinching the division, they are technically NOT bowl eligible yet. I'm not even considering the scenario in which Buffalo gets there instead of Miami because that's going to be off the table by 4pm tomorrow.

"but I'd be surprised to see __________ lose to the ___________" doesn't exist this year.
But God willing, you're spot on about 4pm Saturday.

This certainly can't hurt us. BG beat EMU and doesn't play CMU. Let the silly season continue!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I seriously doubt that. Both CMU and EMU had already defeated WMU, so this game was for the MAC Michigan Title and they have a trophy for it and everything. EMU's win gave them the trophy for the first time. CMU/EMU is not anywhere as big as CMU/WMU, but it's still a bit of a rivalry.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Somehow I think Central may not have been trying very hard in this one.
