BG’s Absolute Wish List For This Week!

Post by BGSU33 »

1. BEAT TOLEDO!!!!!
2. Northern Illinois (2-9) over Ball State (6-5).
3. Ohio (5-6) over Miami (6-5).
4. Akron (4-7) over Central Michigan (6-5).

In other words, we pretty much want/need all the MAC home teams to win this week (which includes all of the above).
GO BG!!!

I wouldn't bet the farm on an Akron win. Holy crap is that a horrible team.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

And yet, they went to the wire with the Redchickenskinhawks. This year, nothing is off the board.

Seriously, I don't think it makes a damn bit a difference what any one else does. If we win, we get to 8 wins and that will be the most of any MAC team (except possibly Miami or Central and that would include a win int he MACC). Given that, we should be a lock to get a bowl bid.

Count me in with the BEAT TOLEDO crowd. Win that game and everything else will fall nicely in place for a Holiday trip somewhere!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick and tired of losing to TSUN. Seriously. I love the attitude of this team heading into this game. Not this year, not in our house.

Just BEAT TOLEDO. WAIL ON THE SCUDS.

I think it's very possible Miami loses out. Rivalry game on the road after they've already clinched the east. Then facing CMU in the championship.

I would really enjoy Miami sitting at home come bowl season. Can you tell I'm still bitter about that loss in early October? Wish we could play that one over.

Ummm....that sounds great in theory but in no way, shape or form do I want to take a shot at that dude. I would get wasted... Parmele is a beast and we need to contain him.

This game means everything...this is why you suit up at BG, to beat that team. To hell with OSU/Mich...I get just as pumped for UT as any OSU fan does for UM. It is that bitter. Hate is not a word I like to use so, to quote Sean O'Drobinak, "I strongly dislike them". :-D

I respect UT for what they've done on the field over the years. They have enjoyed success...But so has BGSU and we do lead the all time series 36-31-4. We need win #37 Friday.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!! :butthead: UT!

Correct me if I'm wrong... but doesn't a BG win coupled with a Miami loss makes us Co-MAC East Champs, even though they own the tiebreaker.

I believe in 05 when there was a 3-way tie for first we were all considered Co-Mac East champs even though Akron got the nod.

Not that it means a whole lot, but hey it's something.

Division championships mean nothing... when someone get excited about a division championship, that means there team has suken so low, or has never been good to begin with.

Bowling Green's tradition is too proud and too long to be happy with a co-division championship.

As for Miami losing this week, it doesn't help the conference if we don't have enough bowl eligible teams, so I think in the interest of the conference you root for Miami although Im sure it pains many of you.

It all likelyhood so long as BG takes care of UT, you will end up in a bowl with a better opponent then that of either CMU or Miami.

8-4 is a good season, but 9-4 looks a whole lot better!

Uh, actually it means you have the best record in your division. If you DON'T win the division it means you probably lost to the team that did and it means that you certainly lost a game. I'll take a Division championship- BG fans- Division Championship anyone?

I guess when you play for championships, you don't believe a division championship is worth noting with some banner or significant mark on your stadium. I'll celebrate a MAC championship.
