BG Vs ND

Post by MACMAN »

End of one and its all tied up.
By the account of the 88.1 broadcast and the feeling they portray durring the game call. We are clearly in this game and well capable of wining this one in ND. There is of course little room for error and to win we will have to play perfect.
Eno sounds real solid in net and you can not ask for more than that, even though he has only faced 5 shots on goal they clearly sounded like Quality chances.

2-1 in favor of ND, BG will start the 3rd with a min ten on the PP.
The goal was in back door deflection off of a BG skate, near impossible to stop those, but that is why you dont want to let them happen and it sounded as if BG's d was a fluster when it happened.
Were in striking distance and we can win this game, we just need to play our game and force ND back on their heels.

Time is runing out and we have played real well, this ND team is not beyond us, we have a great team this year and all indicators put us in the mix as the season grows.

Final: ND 2 BG 1

Ughhh......I watched the game on the ND internet feed and once again this is a game we easily could have won. Pearce from them made some big stops in the 1st and 3rd periods and once again we fell apart for a chunk of time in the 2nd period and it cost us the game.....again...

We were the better team in about 45 minutes of 60 tonight, but that doesn't get it done against teams like ND. We still seem to just not be able to get over the hump against really good teams yet, hopefully we do soon, as we have some tough teams coming up after Wayne State.

The good news is we know how good our team is, and that we can play and hvae a chance to beat any one in the CCHA. DEC will be a good month and Im looking forward to our showing at the Badger clasic

I was at the game. I thought we played well in the first period, played poorly in the 2nd period and the 3rd period was about even though ND had better scoring opportunities in that period. I thought ENO played very well and made some solid saves. Is there a case for him to be the sole starter in goal?

Puck control was a bit suspect at times and we had a few poor turnovers. I also thought some of our line changes were sloppy.

Despite everything, with 1.19 left we get a power play and pulled ENO but really only got one decent chance in that last minute.

Just my 2 cents worth!

speaking of the Badger Classic....If we do in fact meet up against the Budgers we will not see Phenom Kyle Turris. Nor Blake Geoffrion and Jamie McBain. Turris will be representing God's Country in the IIHF U20 tourny and Geoffrion and McBain will represent the USA. Heres hoping Turris helps us keep our domminance at the IIHF and hopefully a Falcon win of the Budger classic.

according to the schedule we will end up playing Wisconsin on day 2, I guess it isn't a bracket style tourney

They will only play wisconsin if both teams win or both teams loose. I was there when the falcons won the "tournament" - winners play each other.

We will be a power again!

Go Falcons!
