I look forward to any bowl- we will be in one. I just believe the GMAC Bowl folks (working in concert with the other two MAC bowls and ESPN) would like to match BG with a team like UCF. They loved having us a couple years ago, we remain fun to watch and we traveled to this game pretty well. We are an eight win team; UCF will be a nine win team.
If Miami hangs on and beats Ohio, they could be paired with say Rutgers in Toronto. Miami has not been a super travel team for bowls in recent years. Rutgers and the city of Toronto could augment the Miami fans who head north.
I just don't see how the MCB passes on the guaranteed sell out with CMU-MSU. This game possibly could attract the largest crowd of any early bowl ever. I realize plenty has to be sorted out with the bowl eligible heavy Big Ten.
Go Falcons!
And now, we wait to see if a bowl comes a calling

Schad was right on with his post.
I had a chance to talk with an MCB rep yesterday for a moment and there's no doubt they love CMU. Last year CMU helped them sell a boat load of tickets and they want them back because, from their point of view, it's the smart/safe play.
At this point there are very few scenarios I could see playing out to put BG anywhere outside of Toronto.
Again, there are a million factors that go into these bids and you never know for sure where they could shuffle us. Like you guys, I'll be watching out for my cornhole to make sure we don't get screwed.

How about Miami losing to OU and then CMU in title game...finish 6-7...and home for the holidays.Another_BG_Kid wrote:Schad was right on with his post.

BG takes the trip to Alabama instead.

With Miami losing, I see our favor with GMAC especially since we have a good traveling history with that bowl. Regardless, there is a little more complexity since OUs win.
It's just a matter of waiting.

Since the GMAC is the day before classes at BG start, it would be very hard for our students to go down to Alabama, and somehow make it back in time to go to 8:30 classes the next day.... I'm praying for Toronto. Miami seems to screw us win or lose... If a CMU win means BG goes to Alabama... I still don't wanna cheer for Miami, so I'm rooting for a blimp crash on that game....
