We had some work stuff to do in the AM...didn't get there until just after the safety. Sounds like I missed a chance to dance along the edges of NCAA recruiting rules by feeding young Mr Stevens... :-)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

It was more like a kazoo.

"IT" was, apparently, handing out $2 kazoos.

Clever -- but, considering the pregame message board hype, underwhelming.

Gotta call you on this one, BO. There are myriad stupid UT fans who act like idiots the week of the BG game (and the rest of the year as well) but, you are able to read and you frequent this board and attend games- can you honestly say that there are no moronic BG fans who act like idiots during game week? And the rest of the year? If that's a stretch for you I can provide a list of names. :-D
Well, I'm certainly not saying that we're the most brilliant bunch in the country, but every single year I type my way over to Toledo's NCAAbbs board and the entire place looks like a day care center just let out, and the escapees discovered the internet for the first time. I mean, none of it is offensive in any way. It's just a bunch of utterly stupid banter and smack talk that has nothing to do with the actual game.

We're all a bunch of retards here (I may be chief among them), but I'll take our somewhat constructive conversation over that playpen UT fans use.

As far as UT's secret weapon, the ribs by UTRocket97 (my bro) were better than any lame noise maker.

The fried fish by Hammb were also a hit.

Special thanks to Falcon Fanatic and Freak as well as all the Falcon Fans who made it a great tailgate as we showed the class that BG fans are known for.

Spart, thanks for the tix.

a great win and great weekend in BG.

We didn't feed him....he's a big boy and was more than able to feed himself! :-D
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I had a great time walking around before the game and every time somebody yelled "UT Sucks" (or worse) I walked over, introduced myself and by the end of the conversation they were saying "hey, Good Luck, Rockets". Saw several groups tailgating with people in gear from both schools. Got to meet Dayon (after somebody at his tent yelled "Rockets Suck" and that was cool. Tried to find Freak's group but there was a lot of territory to cover.

Had a great time for about 32 minutes of gametime, made noise with our noisemakers that most assuredly were NOT confiscated- several BG fans were asking where we got them and couldn't believe how much noise they made for such a small item, didn't bother anybody and went home to get ready for track and basketball season.

As BGDrew said "This week brings out the immaturity in all of us"
Glad you stopped over and said "hello" H20! It was also nice to shake RangerRocket's hand and personally thank him for the brown jersey I had on and to also meet PhotoDan and the other people who saw the flags and said hello including VDub and others!

What a great day! Hope to see everyone again either in Mobile or Detroit but I am also ready to host an International Bowl party.

Double D, I think someone may have been posing as me. I wasn't at the game on Friday. I was sitting comfortably in my home 100 miles away watching on the U. I know I'm awesome, but I really hope people stop posing as me. I don't need my identity stolen at this point in time.

Keep you friends close and your enemies closer. ;-) Always nice to meet fans of other teams, especially when you have a connection, as tenuous as this AZZ connection might be. Enjoyed talking with you all.

When I was with Dayon I thought someone who said they were a Falclon cheerleader said their screen name was VDub as well.
