Ohio lost to Holy Cross tonight, 62-60.

Tough loss for OU but Holy Cross is solid especially at home.

I enjoy seeing MAC teams get votes for the top 25 almost as much as I enjoy seeing naked women. However, the RPI is what matters. We'll see how much the Holy Cross hurts the MAC RPI-wise later on.

Ohio's loss to Holy Cross wasn't a bad one. Holy Cross is a very solid team. It was picked to win the Patriot League, features the conference's Player of the Year, was getting 7 votes in the coached poll prior to the OU game and is off to a 5-0 start to the year. What's more, Holy Cross is coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance again last year following a 25-9 season. That in itself would be a dream season for BG.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned here before, but Orr's nephew plays for Ohio University. He was a transfer from Murray State.

He's a player with great credentials from Cincinnati, but the timing of his transfer and his uncle getting the BG job was probably just a bit off. I'd be interesting to find out the whole story behind this.

His nephew, Justin, was a star at Cincy's LaSalle High School (same HS as Tyler Sheehan), but an injury in the second to last game of the regular season his senior year really hurt not only LaSalle in the playoffs but his college opinions. Ended up at Murray State, but when Mick Cronin left Murray for UC Justin wanted to follow Cronin to UC, but Cronin didn't want him to follow him and make it look like he was taking Murray's players as well and leaving them with no one left. Never sure though how OU became Justin's choice after Cronin left
