Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we were 11-3 in 2003, and then 10-3 in 2004 no? Then 6-5 and 4-8 after that. Granted the half game differential isn't a big deal, but at the same time we played harder teams in 2003 than we did in 2004, having to face Miami twice and Ohio State once.Flipper wrote:2003 to 2006? Do you mean "decline from 2005-2006?"...I really don't see much of a decline from 2003-2004....
and bobio you don't offend me...you're obviously insane and no longer have the control over your thoughts and actions that a sane person enjoys.
How will you feel when Brandon is gone?

Let's just say that I'm terrible picking out which posts are jokes and which ones aren't.Flipper wrote:If I wasn''t convinced that you're insane, I would point out that we played Oklahoma in 2004 and NIU and Toledo on the road with a brand new QB ...but you're clearly insane so attempting to discuss this logically would be futile.

If you want to be a real dick, that game in Oklahoma never officially happened...Flipper wrote:If I wasn''t convinced that you're insane, I would point out that we played Oklahoma in 2004...

Gentlemen (and for a couple of you, I use that term VERY loosely) please, in case you haven't noticed, there is a young man (Stevens69) who is currently visiting "our little world" and I truly shudder to think what he must be thinking at this point in time? Please consider all of the afore-mentioned improvements from last year to this, please recall most of our pre-season prognostications compared to where we stand RIGHT NOW, look at your colleagues and then yourself and ask who amongst us is without fault, and then lastly and most importantly ask yourselves, what effect is this type of banter having on a fine young man (and the rest of our 08 class who may or may not be reading this thread?) who has recently commited the next four years of his life to bettering the program that "we" all love and admire?

I thought we played Michigan, not Oklahoma, that year.BGDrew wrote:If you want to be a real dick, that game in Oklahoma never officially happened...Flipper wrote:If I wasn''t convinced that you're insane, I would point out that we played Oklahoma in 2004...
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.
Not only is the quality no better this year, the prices went up...a LOT.Schadenfreude wrote:If he is, we ought to run him out of town on a rail.1987alum wrote:I suppose he's responsible for the mediocre food at the concession stands, too.
The concessions are horrific.
Pop & Popcorn at a hoops game is now $6 freaking dollars!? $2.75 for a soft pretzel? And a crappy one, at that?
At least they're pretty lax about being able to take your own food into Anderson.

Maybe its me, but if you stand in line for a half hour on a thirtysomething degree day for coffee, you ought to be able to get coffee.
They fell short of this absurdly low standard last Friday.
And, c'mon -- a half hour wait in line?
Our concesssions are driving fans away from the program. It's that bad.

The AD and staff need to get out of the suites and tents on gamedays and actually go try and buy concessions. They need to experience what the fan is seeing in order to understand it's a problem.Schadenfreude wrote:Maybe its me, but if you stand in line for a half hour on a thirtysomething degree day for coffee, you ought to be able to get coffee.

AMEN! I can deal with the higher prices and the crappy food, but to have to wait in line so frickin' long is ridiculous. Can they get a cash register or two out there? Or change the prices to be all even dollars so the worker can add it up in there head in a couple of seconds? And then have only one person that takes the order, gets the order, totals the order, accepts payment, and makes change? It is crazy slow Maybe that system would work if you had five or six people doing it at all the stands, but only two? Please.Schadenfreude wrote:And, c'mon -- a half hour wait in line?
(I missed our second TD Friday while standing in line. And the volume on the radio broacast was so bad I didn't even know we scored until we got back int he stadium.

bobio wrote:I'd be happy to push his ass out the door. You all think he is god because he beat a bunch of terrible teams this year. Only W. Ky had a winning record and look who they played. He can recruit, but he can't coach and deserves to be courted by Duke. Damn! I'm sure I offended Flipper with this post.
This might be the most idiotic thing I've ever read here. Bobio, why not get your resume ready and take over? You obviously would do a much better job than Coach B. Lay off the crystal meth, son.
The man just led his team to an 8-4 record (best in the MAC) and a probable 3rd bowl bid in 5 years. Yep, get rid of him now. Bring back Moe Ankney!!!!

I heard that....I don't even mess with the concession stands anymore because one look at those lines and I'm gone. At least they have some vendors coming up to the seats now...I'll wait for them.Lord_Byron wrote:The AD and staff need to get out of the suites and tents on gamedays and actually go try and buy concessions. The concessions situation is just as bad as the past.
