Random thoughts after 3.5 hour drive each way to the game:

-Coach Orr looks so comfortable on the bench, also noticed he carries a stress ball with him as he walks the sidelines.

-brown unis are nice

-Larson frustrates the heck out of me on the floor he doesn't go up strong and gets bodied off of the ball

-If Polk could be more selective on which shots to block and which shots to just stay tall and alter he would be an unstoppable force down low, as it is he is a force under there but leaves his feet too much and then becomes foul prone

-Jakubowski proved to be a nice outside asset when Furman went to a zone

-After every made Paladin free throw there pep band did a "woosh..F-U!" chant

-Chris Knight had some great tip in put back type deals flying to the bucket on offensive end but I also noticed a bit of tude- hope it is not a Ron Lewis type thing

-Nate Miller is my favorite player, he has such a knack for getting to the ball and when he was posting up nobody could stop him, he reminds of Anthony Stacey a bit and has the "it" factor in his eyes

-Furman was not very good, but BG's shooting in the first half was impressive, would have been nice to see them keep the lead around 15-20 but they let Furman creep back in

-our offense this year is a lot of fun to watch and at any one time 3-4 of the players can run the transition quite nicely, BUT I noticed vs. Temple as well that sometimes it just stalls and all they do is pass around the perimeter- sometimes that works and Miller could drive and create, but we need our guards to do that and our bigs to get position

-Good road win, able to make plays down the stretch- rebound their missed free throws, and eat clock and get points when it counted

Good stuff DD.

Coach Orr has had that Stress Ball for every second of every home game thus far. We noticed it awhile back as well :)

I'm with you 100% on Polk. He tries to block every single shot, and that's how he racks up so many fouls. If he can learn to be selective in that regard he can be a very good player in the MAC.

I know what you mean about the offense stalling too. It's been the same thing in the home games as well. I think it's probably just growing pains...this system is a pretty big turnaround from what we did last year, it will take awhile before everyone is fully comfortable.

Nice to see Knight with 12. Felt bad for him the past two home games, because he is too good to shoot like that every night.

Speaking of Furman, whatever happened to Andy Furman after he was fired by WLW?

Last I heard, he was hired by another Cincinnati station. RobbyFalcon probably could tell you more.
