"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

One thing that does tend to bother me is how often the student section is looked down upon for their "bad behavior" and the constant comparisons how things used to be so much better.
Just remember that those of you following the team in the 80s and early 90s had a lot more to cheer for. A little out of left field, but just something that's bothered me for awhile.

Lose the foul language and I won't look at their behavior as bad. But show no class, then expect criticism for bad behavior.BGDrew wrote:One thing that does tend to bother me is how often the student section is looked down upon for their "bad behavior" and the constant comparisons how things used to be so much better.

So because our student section says the word "ass" they are therefore classless? I've never seen our student section do something that would make them classless and I've attended just about every game for 4 years. We don't have problems with fights, indecency, or mass ejections.transfer2BGSU wrote:Lose the foul language and I won't look at their behavior as bad. Frankly, the attitude toward students anymore is less constructive criticism and more "Back in my day..."

I also agree. Yes, by sitting by the glass I HAVE heard a few choice words after a bad call, but I really haven't heard much I would deem classless. Sure, every once in a while, but not much. I've been to a lot of away games and a lot of the other sections are winning teams and their fans are terrible. I try to not let the people around me say things like that. Maybe I'm just not hearing it in the student section.
