Looking ahead to Oakland on Saturday
Does anybody have any thoughts on this road game. I don't quite know what to make of Oakland at this point. They have 2 wins against Adrian College and Eastern Michigan. The lost a very close one against Wisconsin-Green Bay, got blown out by Duquesne and only lost by 4 to #10 Michigan State.
So.....are they the team that lost by only 4 to Michigan State....or are they the team that lost by 15 to Duquesne. I don't know. I'll be curiously paying attention to their game tonight against #23 Xavier.

You might want to avoid downtown Detroit. With the Marathon MAC Football Championship kicking off at 11:00, it probably will be packed down there.hammb wrote:My only thoughts at this point is that the 4:00 PM tipoff leaves time for both a run to the microbrew & the casino![]()

Duquesne is a really athletic team. They have sucked for decades. This is their best start in many years. I am not sure who they have really beat.JimmyZ11381 wrote:Good Point...I guess I didn't really take a look at Duquesne. They are 5-0.Falcon137 wrote:I don't think Duquense is as bad as you think. Oakland is solid and we'll have to play well to win.
They haven't really played anybody yet, besides maybe Rice and Oakland, but 5-0 is 5-0.

I remember Oakland Coach Greg Kampe as a Falcon. He was a lightning quick point guard on the basketball team and the punter on the football team. I am not sure if he still holds the BGSU record for longest punt at around 75 yards?
He was also my summer basketball camp counselor at Hoosier Basketball Camp in Angola, Indiana.
Ah, those were the days...sucks getting old!

Actually, the record for longest punt is 90-something yards from the 1920's... Macs Leitman, I believe.Rollo83 wrote:I am not sure if he still holds the BGSU record for longest punt at around 75 yards?
EDIT (for proof I'm right...again.
