This has been my concern all along, and it’s also why my concern will continue until we officially are offered anything. Call it being paranoid, call it being annoying, call it what you want, but when your fate rests in the hands of a committee, nothing is a sure thing. I’ve seen too many crazy things happen to teams in MAC football and basketball, including to BG, to just kick back and completely relax. Now of course, I hope to hear good news, and I feel like we should get that kind of news, but hoping and expecting are two different things. Since we aren’t in a situation like CMU where we are protected because of what we did on the field, I’ll continue to sweat it out until after Saturday’s MAC Championship game. And since our chances for a bowl game improve with a Miami loss, I’ll be pulling for CMU.Schadenfreude wrote:If Miami wins Saturday, then Central Michigan and Miami are guaranteed bowl games -- again, per the MAC's contracts with the games -- and the final invitation comes down to a beauty contest between Bowling Green (8-4) and Ball State (7-5).

Call it the Cleveland fan in me or the 2000 BG hoops fan in me or the guy who saw a 10-1 MiamiU team sit at home. . . but I am in the same boat as 33.BGSU33 wrote:This has been my concern all along, and it’s also why my concern will continue until we officially are offered anything. I 2nd BGSU33's concerns. Until it's official, I'm worried. Let's just hope Miami loses.BGSU33 wrote:This has been my concern all along, and it’s also why my concern will continue until we officially are offered anything.
