What? You haven't heard about the OL thats 6-6, 320 lbs, and runs a 4.25 40? Being recruited hard by OSU, LSU, MSU, and all other ..SU's but really wants to go to BGSU.

Where have you been?

Another QB?????

Post by Falconboy »

Seriously GB come on. :? Sounds like would be a nice pick up if we really needed one. Just very odd, to be going after another high Qb prospect with Sheehan, Glaud and Nate Brown back next year.

Brandon is recruiting a 6'5", 210 lb. 3-star quarterback and you're bitching? My word, the inside of your head must be a veritable zoo of crazy hare-brained thoughts.

A number of recruits will be on campus this week end for official vists.

Only got 14 scholarships to play with this year. Not sure what transfer2BGSU is talking about...but there are at least 7 commits that are very excited to be on board at BG. Hope the weekend seals the deal for a couple more.

Zack Stoudt would be an excellent pick up for the team. CB seems to offer a scholarship 2 a QB every year.

It makes sense to go after a Qb like this when you expect to lose a couple o players at this position. We aren't going to be losing a Qb ,unless the much bemoaned transfer of Nate Brown is imminent. Where else is a 6'5 210lb Qb going to play at 4.8 speed? Besides,I'm not "bitching" as you put it , only raising a bewildered eyebrow.

Recruiting Barnes and Sheehan when we had Omar and Turner scheduled to come back seemed to work out.

QB's are like left handed pitching...good ones are hard to find and you can never have enough of them.

A legit 4.8 would be pretty quick for a QB. Steroid loaded Ben Johnson ran the fastest track split ever for the 40 during his Gold Medal Olympic world record race that ended in disgrace. Ran a 4.38. If I get a QB that can run within .4 seconds of the world's all-time fastest human who had to use drugs to acheive that, I'd be ecstatic.

h2oville, you're around here often enough to know that you can't confuse falconboy with logic, facts and statistics. All our skill position players should run 4.25 40s and all of our linemen (offense and defense) MUST come out of high school at 6-6, 350 (preferably with a 40 time of 4.5 or better). Otherwise, how could we ever hope to earn a bowl berth.

Oh ... wait ... 8)

And STFU about Nate Brown transferring...that "rumor" was started by some dumbass engaging in idle speculation based solely on the fact that Sheehan was only a sophomore and it died a quick death on this board. The last thing we need is some other dumbass giving it new life because he feels like engaging in his unique but oh so tiresome brand of pessimism about.... well...everything that doesn't have a correlation to the life and times of Kate Achter.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Why would we want an AP D1 First Team All-Ohio quarterback?
