BG Bar in Mobile

Post by MobileBama »

I will contact my friend who owns Pat's on Dauphin Street downtown. He will open the bar around 1 on Saturday (maybe earlier) They will have a beer girl set up outside and the bar inside will be open. It's not the nicest bar, but it's in a great location and easy to find. I did this for the Ohio fans and they really enjoyed meeting other Ohio fans. Please bring a flag(s) and a BG band cd to play the fight song during the afternoon. You can walk around downtown and bar hop easily from this site. Also, it's a straight shot to the Mardi Gras parade route. I will be there and hope to meet a lot of you. I'll keep you posted

Also, this is a Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba bar, NOT an alumni event. I don't want any one getting confused but of course ALL BG fans can stop by. This bar isn't extremely nice and they don't serve food, but they have cold beer and tvs and it sits right on Dauphin Street. Also, I saw some Ohio kids inside the bar last year.

This is just a great bar to come in and meet and hang out. I don't expect you to stay here the whole time, but it's a good place to start.

Seems like a logical place to me. No "flare" on the barmaids attire and cold beer are two of my requirements. I think I'll be able to supply a BG marching band cd medley as well. . . .

MobileBama is good people. I followed some of his advice in 2004. I would have followed more of it, but I was with the band at the time, and I couldn't do too much  It's too bad I can't go, or I'd follow a lot more of his advice.

Hey Mobile Bama! How's it going?

Falcon Fans...listen to Bama. He set us up with a great party the night before the game last year. We had a blast at Pats. The whole Mobile/GMAC experience was awesome. A bunch of us flew into New Orleans and spent a night there, then drove over to Mobile. The whole community supports the bowl. I've never been to the Motor City or International Bowl, but I have to imagine you guys are going to the best MAC bowl.

Some advice....
Go to the parade. I know parades are lame, but this one was a lot of fun. It's just right down the street from Pat's, too.
Getting home: cabs are very limited. Prepare to wait and/or search high and low for a cab.

Thanks for the advice bobcats, most of that I remember from when we were there in '04

MobileBama was a great asset then and now!

Falcons - Congratulations on a fine season.

Mobile Bama - good to hear from you again.

I can't urge you enough to visit Mobile. My son and I went to Mobile last year and had a great time.

Pat's might not be a fancy bar, but it has character and is a few blocks to the route for the Madis Gras parade, which is a HOOT!

Have fun, Falcons...

I get the feeling MobileBama is astroturfing here.

He doesn't need to. He was here in '04, and he gave good, sincere advice.
