BG Got a Vote in the Harris Interactive Poll

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Just looking at the Harris Interactive College Football Poll and saw where Jim Lessig gave BG a 25th place vote in the final poll.

What sad is that NO MAC team got a vote in the other polls. A couple of years ago, it wasn't uncommon to see two or three teams.

Why? Has the MAC peaked in football, or did the MAC get everyone's hopes up then disappoint everyone? Ignore BCS debate for a moment, but why is there no respect for MAC?

At 8-4, Bowling Green has the MAC's best record. And 8-4 teams generally aren't ranked.

Heck, that 2003 Falcon team, at 10-3, probably had the worst record of any nationally ranked MAC football team. The difference then is that much of the conference was getting it done in nonconference play.

This year, by and large, the MAC got its butt kicked outside the conference.

It's cyclical. In the East, Bowling Green, Miami and Temple all have young teams right now.

That is how we gor ranked 41st in the final BCS poll. If you look at the thread started on here about that it shows that we got a vote in the Harris Poll.
