If only the Black Bears were dead last in the country. Oh well, I can dream.BGFalconfromCincy wrote: I'm sure Tim Maxwell likes seeing it
I've seen Maxwell play with both teams. Probably not too many people outside of his family that can say that. Come to think of it, I've actually seen more of his Maine games than his BG games.

I saw Maxwell play a couple at Maine. He was playing wing at the time. Jimmy Howard carried that team on his back. Maine looks quite bad this year as does BC. Unfortunately so do my Sioux.
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

This is the biggest home game for BG Hockey since the playoff series agains Fairbanks in '05 in which we were swept. So this is the biggest regular season conference game in the four years I've been here. #2 vs. #18 at the BG Ice Arena. When was the last BGSU hosted a game between 2 ranked teams? It has to be a while. Friday Night, all the students will be here, no football going on, huge game for the team to prove they can beat the best in the country- if this game doesn't sell out, BG has really lost its passion for hockey.
If BGSU can beat Michigan 2 years in a row as the worst team in the conference, we can definently do it as a much improved team this year. I say we win at home, lose a close one up at yost.
The Ice Arena will be rocking Friday Night! I Can't Wait! Go Falcons!!!!!!!

I have a Sioux jerseyPegCityFalcon wrote:I saw Maxwell play a couple at Maine. He was playing wing at the time. Jimmy Howard carried that team on his back. Maine looks quite bad this year as does BC. Unfortunately so do my Sioux.
It's #22 and was Matt Henderson's from his sophomore year. The season before he was MOP of the 1997 national championship team.
I always take it with me to the Frozen Four if the Sioux are in it (which has been more often than not lately). Of course, I always take one of my BGSU jerseys, too.

Dude dont even get me going on the Black Bears....my tow favorite teams are BG with out question at #1 and distant second, yet second is Maine. i can not believe it...but and that is a big but the whole conference seems to have gotten off to a slow out of sorts starts, so I would like to thnk they will climb back up. the last half here.McConvey wrote:That still feels like an oxymoron to me... I can't believe it's actually true.MACMAN wrote:a hot Northeastern team
And it's really a shame to see Maine dead last in the league
I doubt the Bears will ever be last in the county...you can keep dreaming though....
on the up side is that UNH is doing well and sadly Dartmouth just seems to have issues.....

But the CCHA is considered a western conference to Hockey East fansbgsufalcon24 wrote:I beg to differ. 5 teams in the top 20 are in the CCHA, including #1, #3, #5, and #6. 4 of the top 6!!!PegCityFalcon wrote:Like always the best hockey is played in the West
And to MACMAN: I know that Maine will never be last in the country as long as American International fields a DI team. But I can still hope and freely root against them no matter who they play.

the CCHA is part of the west buddy. As for our goalie situation...For the first time since...well ever I don;t mind seeing either of the two in net, both have been amazing this season.

Excuse me for the misunderstanding, when you said the best hockey was in the west I thought you were referring to the WCHA. Never mind my previous post, its just hard to think of Ohio as being a western state. I guess if you're from Boston or NY or someplace like that it kinda is.PegCityFalcon wrote:the CCHA is part of the west buddy.
