The Steelers need a center, I saw a picture in the blade where Kory's son was wearing a Ben jersey. Kory would look as good next year in the Black and Gold as he has in the Brown and Orange.
Lichtensteiger Named Rimington Finalist
It will be interesting to see how these guys are drafted. I am not really a Mel Kiper fan, but he loves Kory. Kory is the best center period.

Did I miss something? I watched virtually every minute of the Awards Show twice and never saw Kory mentioned or shown? When, during the program, did they give the Rimington Award and was Kory one of the 3 finalists? I think it will be on again on ESPU for a couple days. I saw Kern get some highlights shown (They showed the Doyt!) but I never caught Kory's segment. Granted, the 2nd time I watched it was on at 2:30 AM but still.1987alum wrote:Neither MAC player brought home the iron (gee, what a surprise), but it was great to hear their names.rocketfootball wrote:Not sure if any non BCS has ever won a similar award, but Toledo's Brett Kern is one of three finalists for the Ray Guy Award for the nation's top punter and he will be joining Kory down in Orlando for the award ceremony.Globetrotter wrote: Has a non BCS player ever won this or a similar award?
Good luck to both Kory and Brett.
Nonetheless, I'm sure we'll be seeing Kory playing on Sundays in 2008!

Kory was one of six finalists for the Rimington Award. I am not sure, but I don't think that Kory was actually invited to the show though. I don't think any of the Rimington finalists were there and I didn't see them pass out the award. Almost like it was one of those awards they just talked about really quick or something.Falconfreak90 wrote:Did I miss something? Thanks RF...I thought I was crazy cuz I saw them flash the winner (from Arkansas) and that was it. Gee, nice to know the Centers don't mean much...Every play starts with the Center!!!!rocketfootball wrote:Kory was one of six finalists for the Rimington Award. Anyway, it was great that Kory was one of the 6 finalists...quite a feat.
